  1. Is there a way to backup playlists on the Aurender N100H? I lost the playlists at one point (after an Aurender update) and could never figure out how to get them back. Thanks!
  2. Seems this is better suited to The “Official” Aurender Discussion Thread in this forum, so please go there for any replies. Thanks

  4. Thanks everyone for all the inputs. I particularly appreciate the encouraging words about how things can be frustrating. Schitt is sending a replacement unit. I will post back about how things turn out. Thanks again.
  5. Thanks very much. I do have a PC and tried installing the drivers required for the Yggy and they will not install--it just repeatedly asks me to connect the Audio Device (and the Yggy is connected and set to USB input). Contacting Schiit support. Thanks again, Herb
  6. I have a new Aurender N100H that's feeding into a new Schiit Yggy. The Aurender app on my Ipad shows music is playing, but none of the sample rate indicators on the Yggy light up (the music is a CD I ripped to a FLAC file) and no music plays from the speakers. I've replaced the USB cord that runs from the Aurender to the Yggy with no change. I'm assuming the problem is that the Aurender is actually not outputting anything, or the Yggy is not detecting it. Any suggestions on how I can troubleshoot this? Thanks, Herb
  7. Would the expected improvement be comparable if using an Aurender N100H as the source (vs. the MacBookPro)? Or would the marginal improvement be less since the output of the Aurender is "better" to begin with? Or stated another way, I noticed in the review of the Berkeley Alpha USB by CA that "Audiophiles prepared to part with $1,895 will no doubt be delighted with the Alpha USB connected to any source or any DAC." Generally, would a "bad" source likely be greatly improved but a "good" source only marginally improved? Thanks for any thoughts.
  8. Thanks for the replies firedog and AudioDoctor. Based on firedog's inputs I investigated a bit futher and found in the Yggdrasil owner's manual that "For Linux, no drivers are necessary for distros supporting USB Audio Class 2", and the Aurender site says the X100 has dedicated USB Audio class 2.0 output. Seems these details confirm what firedog said: should work fine. I had previously contacted Schiit support and they replied very promptly that they could not say if the Yggdrasil would work with the X100 because they had not tried it with an X100. Always interesting when a forum provides better guidance than a manufacturer with a direct interest in selling a product. Thanks again.
  9. Thanks for the replies. The DAC will be the Schiit Yggdrasil, but I don't know whether or not it requires drivers. Maybe someone familiar with this DAC can answer?
  10. Brand new here; limited knowledge of computer audio. Will using a Schiit Yggdrasil with an Aurender X100 be straight forward? Are there potential compatibility issues such as the USB drivers? Thanks!
