  1. This is why we're trying to get NAA running on a BBB (beaglebone black) with the Botic driver. This can output multi channel I2S pcm and dsd direct out from the BBB gpio pins as well as accepting an external master clock and there are already relatively cheap interface boards like the Twisted Pear Hermes and Cronus which handle isolation and reclocking of the data output as well as I2C control and data display of what's playing. A few of us have been using this BBB Botic solution to output to regular pcm dacs with great results compared to translating to USB and back again. If we can get this working with NAA too (and I feel we're pretty close now) then that would be brilliant
  2. Sure: I note that there exists a usb0 ethernet interface which I don't recognise
  3. Hi, Can someone suggest a likely cause for my playback issue please? I am running HQP 3.12 on Windows 10 and NAA with Botic on BBB, same as Stino. I can detect the NAA fine and networkaudiod seems to be running all good, but I have an issue with playback. I hit play and after a short delay it fails. I am trying straight 44k redbook PCM with no upsampling, filter or dither: Does this show anything obvious or can anyone suggest something to try please? thanks, James
  4. Hi, that's right, this is not a regular build of linux, this BBB NAA image is totally stripped down, so no LEDs, no user accounts at all, no SSH, just NAA and things needed to make the NAA work and nothing else. In theory you can add user accounts, SSH and such, but you need a reasonable Linux knowledge to do so. Hope this helps, James
  5. Hi all, can anyone help me out with the local username and password for the official Beaglebone NAA image please? regards, James
  6. Hi All, are there any NAA builds available for any small/cheap devices like Raspberry Pi, BBB etc? Or is it very simple to just install the extra NAA service on top of the standard OS for these devices? I searched but I don't see any guides anywhere. Also, is anyone aware of a device which will run as a NAA and will output I2S over it's GPIO ports rather than relying on USB? rpi has had drivers for I2S out for a while now and BBB has the Botic driver, but I haven't seen anyone combine this with NAA functionality. Best regards, James
