Red Hot Chili Peppers - Carpool Karaoke (video)

Listened to the 3 songs up on Tidal and I was impressed. This can't be a Rick Rubin production. The level wasn't nailed to the ceiling thank G-d. -
Sound is very good. Part of me wishes it was 24/96 instead of 24/44.1. Many of his albums are out in 24/96 but they probably had to go with 44.1 to keep all the sources consistent.

If you're into Marillion do yourself a favor and check out the new Katatonia album "The Fall of Hearts". I got the CD on Amazon and it comes with DVD 24/96 2 channel and 5:1. I believe it's available on Qubuz for download ex-US in 24/48 as well. Album is spectacular both sonics and content. Post Doom Metal ala Anathema.

Do you know offhand what Marillion 24/96 bluray presently exists?
-
This is a drag. I had to put up $200 to preorder the 2 channel 24/96:(

Pro vs Audiophile Obssession

One of my best friends is a Grammy winning mixing engineer. Truly amazing guy who has 2 or 3 of the biggest records of the last few years. I asked him how does he decide whether to record/mix at 44.1/48/96 and he told me "you wanna know the truth? I leave it set at whatever the previous engineer from the session before did." -
Available tomorrow morning ( Friday 4/1 ) on HD Tracks.
-
I have confirmed it is indeed in 24/96
-
Do we know for sure that it will be available in 24/96? It seems like Columbia Records has been doing most if not all of their new releases in 24/44.1:(

You do still have to go through Sonos if you live in the US. It still is not officially launched here.
