  1. Heh! I'm perfectly calm, dear boy. I also don't do name-calling, so your accusation is baseless, unless you can point to a single instance of me calling you a name? (The suggestion that someone is being pedantic is not name calling, if that's what you're referring to.) Finally - and I'm not blaming you as you weren't to know - this wasn't my first post here, it was just my first under this username as I'd forgotten my previous password and which email I'd used, so had to re-register.
  2. Haha! I agree, you ARE being pedantic! You know exactly what was meant by "file format" since the original question was concerned with "ISO files". You KNOW the difference between file formats and audio formats (you correctly used the word "container" yourself) so how you can pretend to not get my point is a bit silly. My point that the *premise* of the question was wrong (that the DAC is not concerned with ISO's), was clearly made, so stop pretending not to get it, and acting like a smart @rse talking about multichannel, etc. That was not the point, AND YOU KNOW IT!
  3. Very late reply, but had to drop a comment just to say the premise of the question is wrong. NO DAC plays any file format, ISO or otherwise. The DAC's job is to receive the stream and convert it to analogue. It is not concerned with file formats.
