  1. @Jussi and bibo01 Thank you for answering my questions. I wil wait patiently for bibo01's and friends Squeezebox solution
  2. Hi bibo01. This sounds really interesting How far is this project? I would like to hear more... The UPnP/DLNA to LMS bridge plugin (squeeze2upnp) might work but is a little bit disappoining...when I'm shooting at DSD256/DSD512. Regards Martin Roerup
  3. Sorry I don't quite understand this. I'm a Windows/Citrix guy, but trying to learn Linux What is the difference from an input stream comming from an ADC-card or a S/PDIF source, compared to the digital stream from a software mediaplayer (in this case SqueezeLite)? Isn't both send through the ALSA, being the central soundmixer in Linux... I would like to look in the HQPE readme.txt file for more information but it seems that this file is embedded in the HQPE package. This means I have to have a proper Linux installation up and running before I can get the file. I haven't any available yet!!! Any chance you could dump a copy of this file on the ftp-share? Regards Martin Roerup
  4. Hi Jussi and all you Linux HQPE-pioneers I have been reading up on all stuff related to HQP Embedded for a while. However, I still haven't found an answer to my question, so here it comes... Would it be possible to install the SqueezeLite software on the Linux machine also running HQP Embedded and route its output through the HQPE software? Essentially making a Squeezebox endpoint with advanced upsampling etc. This way I could keep my existing LMS infrastructure with 50.000+ mostly Flac-files and all it's metadata sorted specially for the LMS-server. Building this music collection have taken me literally many hundreds of hours... There are also many really fine remote apps for both iOS and Android available. I haven't really understood if the HQPE appears as a soundcard/DAC in Alsamixer or how the routing of the signals between potentially ADC's, HQPE and DAC's works. Could one of you guys please enlighten me here? ...and a special thank you very much to Shadowlight for the fine HQPE guide ??? If it turns out that the SqueezeLite solution should indeed work, I think I could succesfully go through the Linux installation, using the guide. Regards Martin Roerup, Denmark.

    HQ Player

A "non" technical question for Miska... I have tried the free trial and really like the product. I now want to purchase the license but would like to hear a little more about the license terms. I don't think it is already explained in the manual and I have had no luck trying to Google an answer... For how long time can I expect to be able to update the HQPlayer software after the purchase? ...or is it licensed like 1.x.x , 2.x.x , 3.x.x meaning that the 4.x.x would require a new license? And while talking about the version 4...is that version planed to to be released within the next year or so? Thank you very much :-) Regards Martin Roerup
