  1. It seems flat sounding and lifeless on most tracks but that is just a guess as I have only recently assembled these respective components. I haven't yet purchased a turntable or hooked up a cd player to compare it to. If I play a song through itunes with out utilizing it's equalizer it's sounds like a system I might have purchased at a Walmart. I have had nice enough analog systems in the past so I am trying to at the very least to replicate that quality if possible.
  2. D2 24-bit Wireless DAC Since the D2 is also a DAC is there any degradation in quality and/or potential conflicts since I will essentially be daisy chaining two separate DACS?
  3. I have Wharfedale Jade 3's and 2 self powered 1000 watt B&W ASW subs.
  4. I am trying to eek out the best quality sound possible with the setup ( minus what recommendations you folks offer) I currently have without chasing the proverbial carrot on a stick for the perfect sound which is associated with high costs and diminishing returns. My current components are a PC I built earlier this year running Windows 10. This machine was configured to handle any advanced photo/video editing software commercially available so I think my needs are met there. I do not have anything but a basic sound card currently installed though. Right now I am streaming my appx. 60,000 song files through Itunes which the majority have been imported over the years with the Apple lossless format through a Apple Airport Express connected optically to my DAC. My PC is located 15 feet away from my stereo. Moving the PC closer isn't a option and running a USB or other respective cable to my external DAC isn't really viable either but if needed I could figure something out. My stereo components include a Emotiva XPA-2 amp, XSP-1 preamp and their DC-1 DAC. I feel I can get a better audio signal from my current setup I just do not know in which direction to go and have kinda come to the end of my limited knowledge on this matter. I'm open to making any necessary program changes if needed and hardware additions within reason. I recently downloaded JRiver but haven't fiddled with it at this point and before I waste anytime which is hard to come by I am looking towards those who know more on this subject then I. So I guess what I am looking for is what I can do with what I currently have and what do I need to plan for in the future without going over board ? Thank you for any suggestions and all will be considered, Mike
