  1. I've talked withe Hegel on Friday, very helpful and friendly. I asked if The HD30 supports DSD128 and it was confirmed that it does. As you said earlier audio.bill I must go in and chech the setting in my software. I was told that Audirnavana doesn't support DSD128 for Mac but there's an option for it. What about Jriver?
  2. If the Hegel HD30 DAC supports 24 bit 192kHz PCM then why should it support DSD128? Playing over PCM standard 1.1 we see the DSD 128 playing at 176.4kHz. I was positive I read that Hegel supported DSD 128.
  3. I'm having trouble understanding the DSD 64/128 functions which Hegel supports over USB. I'm playing a file in DSD 64 format and the Hegel HD30 displays USB DSD. I then switch to a DSD 128 file and the DAC reads USB 176 as if in PCM mode. Strange or am I missing something?
  4. I happened on it by chance with the Hegel H360 trying to understand the function of DAC+. Last night I tried it with the HD30 connected to the H360. The H360 stayed on the balanced function and the HD30 displayed the sampling frequency.
  5. Hold the DAC+ button on the remote, takes 3-4 seconds for the sampling frequency to show on the display. sH
