  1. @bobbmd: I have deleted all AV versions and freshly installed 3.5.5. However, synching doesn't work (approx. 50% of my library is being ignored). Up and until 3.2.X everything went smoothly.
  2. I also thought about that, but couldn''t identify anything suspicous. My folder structure is as follows: My music is stored on a Synology NAS in two volumes 1) CDs, 2) HiRes. The CD volume looks as follows (HiRes is identical): In the Afro folder, the folder King Sunny Ade is ignored (alphabetically more or less in the middle). In the Jazz folder, a number of Artists are ignored, for example Steve Coleman and Sonny Stitt. I already tried the following: - If I add the CD folder as sync folder in Audirvana, only albums under the subfolder Classical appear in my collection; everything else is ignored. - If I add the 6 genre-related subfolders instead, Audirvana displays only about 50% of the albums. - If I add the folder of King Sunny Ade or Steve Coleman directly in Audirvana, Audirvana displays their respective albums correcly (which indicates that there is nothing wrong with these folders). It is a total mystery to me what causes this wrongful syncing. My Audirvana runs on a Mac Mini 2012 with OS 10.11.06.
  3. Damien - I just installed 3.5.6, but the sync issues are still the same. AV syncs just about half of my collection, certain artists folders with the respective albums are always ignored. I tried several times, and it concerns always the same artist folders. With these issues, AV 3.5 is useless for me. Could you please indicate where I can download 3.2.XX again?
  4. Can anybody please help me with the sync issues, see my posts 614, 615, 623?
  5. Again concerning the sync failures of release 3.5.5: My music is stored on a NAS in two volumes 1) CDs, 2) HiRes. The CD volume looks as follows: If I add the CD folder as sync folder in Audirvana, only albums under the subfolder Classical appear in my collection. If I add the 6 genre-subfolders instead, Audirvana displays only about 50% of the albums. For example, under Afro, all albums of King Sunny Ade will be ignored, and under Jazz all albums under Steve Coleman, Sonny Stitt and many others. If I add the folder of King Sunny Ade or Steve Coleman directly in Audirvana, Audirvana displays their respective albums correcly (which indicates that there is nothing wrong with these folders). It is a total mystery to me what causes this wrongful syncing. My Audirvana runs on a Mac Mini 2012 with OS 10.11.06.
  6. Maybe I should add: All albums are stored on the NAS in the following folder structure: [genre] [sub Artist Name] [sub sub Album Title]. Audirvana 3.5.5 (other than 3.2.6!) refuses to sync all albums in certain Artist Name folders, for example King Sunny Ade, Steve Coleman, Sonny Stitt.
  7. I upgraded from 3.2.6 (I believe) to 3.5.5. However, there is an issue with the library. When audirvana automatically converted the library to the new version, it dropped approx. half of the albums (approx. 13k out of 26k; yes, it is a hugh library). I then deleted the converted library totally, and started from scratch by adding the folders to sync. However, the library contained again only approx. 13k albums. Audirvana again ignores a huge number of albums contained in the synced folders. All music files are either, flac, alac, or dsf. Does anyone have any idea how to solve this issue? Up to version 3.2.6 I never had any such issues.
  8. @Charente: Thanks for your response. Organizing a CD set as separate albums works, but I find it sub-optimal as it artificially blows up the number of albums in the library (imagine a 9CD Mosaic box set or for instance Bitches Brew which I would never consider as two albums). Plus it wastes space on booklet copies. Actually, I tried out various methods in the meantime and found the following solution which works perfectly. The thing is that the booklet must be in the same folder as the sound files for Audirvana to display it. Therefore, a CD set must not be stored in separate sub-folders (CD1, CD2, etc), but in one and the same folder. To achieve this, I add the disc number at the beginning of the file name. So it looks like this: 1 - 01 - [title].flac 1 - 02 - [title].flac 1 - 03 - [title].flac 2 - 01 - [title].flac 2 - 02 - [title].flac The titles of disc 1 are tagged as discnumber 1, those of disc 2 as discnumber 2. Audirvana shows correctly one album with one cover and the booklet, and separates the titles into two disks. Amazing!
  9. A question concerning CD booklets: How can they be displayed with albums containing multiple discs?
  10. I have an issue with the display of booklets. I have all booklets stored as pdfs in the same folder as the album. They are display perfectly in Audirvana (icon on the left hand side on top) unless the album contains more than 1 disc. In this case, the booklet is not displayed. Neither copying the booklet in every sub-disc folder nor moving all tracks from the sub-disc folders in the main album folder helps. Are there any suggestions how to solve this?
  11. First of all, I am really excited about A+ 3. My database includes 240k tracks, and database management is a HUGE step up. Same for SQ! A+ works smoothly on my system and always did so. Two minor points I would like to address, though: a) When I search for an artist in my database using the search field, the albums I get are in alphabetical order. I'd prefer them to appear in chronological order (year). How can I achieve that? b) Cover art: A+ only displays the front cover of an album. I usually have both the front and back cover tagged in an album, though. Is there a possibility to switch between them in A+? If not: It would be great if that ability would be added.
  12. I also have it occasionally that my synched folders are marked as "offline". This happens when my mac mini looses connection to the NAS (for instance, because the NAS rebooted due to a software update). When I then close A+, restart the mac mini and open A+, everything is fine. By the way, I did some intense listening on A+ 2.3.3. in the meantime and must say it is in my system the best sounding version ever.
  13. Thank you, Damien, for your amazing work! I simply adore A+! As posted earlier, however, synching the library folders is much much slower under 2.3.2 compared to 2.2.4 (I skipped the releases inbetween due to inferior sound quality). Also, the fan of my mac mini runs at maximum level while synching under 2.3.2. Is there any chance that you could improve synching, bringing it back to 2.2.4 level (or better)?
  14. Damien, I updated from 2.2.4 to 2.3.2. Synching a library folder takes now much longer than before, approx. 4-5 times longer. While it took about 30 minutes to synch one of my (big) library folders under 2.2.4, it takes now more than 2 hours. Would be great if you could fix that.
