  1. I resized the photos and added to another post above this.
  2. I upgraded to a 40 series GPU so I am selling my excellent condition, NEVER used for mining, ONLY used to up sample HQ Player to DSD1024. Very quiet and dust free. I never saw the GPU temps go over 61C when I monitored them. I have the original box and packing materials. I am asking $800 for it, payment by PP F&F's. I'll cover USPS shipping to lower 48, if you want insurance that is your expense.

I have and continue to be a huge fan of DSD1024, I have been telling all when I post magic happens here. Now with the new AHM modulators many people can finally experience DSD1024 with EC modulators. I have played quite a bit with these AHM and other EC modulators at 1024. I have not definitively decided if I prefer the AHM modulators over the non AHM at 1024 with EC. I am pretty confident that I prefer AHM5EC5L to AHM7EC5L with my Holo May. I certainly really like the new AHM modulators and have spent about 80% of my listening time with them since 5.3's release. I like that my PC with a 3090 GPU draws close to 100W less power running the AHM modulators vs "normal" EC modulators. I like the sound of the new AHM modulators. But I am not partial to quick judgements, I need to to see how I feel listening to my music, am I more engaged, am I chair dancing more am I listening more total hours, do I NOT want to turn my stereo off in the early mourning hours. So far AHM is impressive. Got to get back to listening. My prayer's to you Jussi and a to quick recovery. Your program has brought me more musical joy in the last 8 years than anything else.
  5. View Classified Pass Labs XA100.8 Monoblocks Selling these wonderful sounding amplifiers. The Pass Xa series makes SS amps have some of that tube magic where you can sit for hours engrossed in the music they produce. These amps are one owner and lightly used in excellent condition. I packed them up before taking closeup photos unfortunately, but I tried to get decent photos while they are in the boxes. Cosmetically you would be hard pressed to find any flaws with these amps. They have worked perfectly and sound wonderful. Many reviews on the web regarding Pass Labs XA series amplifiers. MSRP of these Monoblock's is $21000. I am asking $11,000 for the pair. Used Pass Xa series amps usually list for 60-65% of MSRP so this is a fair price. Original double factory boxes and foam inserts are in very good condition. But these amps are beasts and in box weigh in at 117 lbs apiece. dimensions of each box are 27" x 24" x 14". Included in the sale are the amps and manual. No power cords. I am based in Knoxville TN and would be willing to drive a few hours to meet someone halfway to avoid the shipping costs these amps would incur. Paypal F&F's, Zelle, cash all acceptable forms of payment. Seller Quadman Date 11/28/23 Price 11,000.00 USD Category Amplifiers

What firmware version do your have (3.12 or 3.14) (on older 2.0 USB module)? Is it a new may with the 2.1 USB board? I am guessing your have the 2.0 USB board and the 3.14 firmware which does not allow DSD1024 to play but allows AMD motherboards and CPU's to play fine. Go to Kitsune, Holo May and scroll down to downloads there is a package you can download to change the firmware. It is easy even though it seems intimidating. You want Firmware 3.12 which will play DSD1024, but may have issues with AMD stuff. In that case Tim sells the new 2.1 USB board which can do 1024 and play nicely with AMD I am told.

@Miska, in the 5.3 manual for the new modulators AHM5EC and AHM7EC, you put a warning in the text body about limited SNR and caution not to use them if HQP is your volume control. What are the dangers of using these filters with a loudspeaker system if HQP is your volume control? I have a traditional preamp so I have no issues, but a friend uses HQP volume only, these modulators would give him the opportunity to listen to 1024 with EC but what could he damage by using them?

Dang Ubuntu can drive me crazy, Yesterday I inserted a new HQP PC into my system ( 12900K) with a nvidia 3090GPU. Running 22.04 with Jussi's Images 6.1.53 jl+, or 6.1.60 jl+ or I can run 6.2.0.1016 low latency (of course I can't do DSD1024 with this image). I cannot get the nvidia driver to work with Jussi's images (6.1.53 or 6.1.60) It works fine with the low latency kernel 6.2.0.1016. Why would the nvidia driver work correctly with 6.2.0.1016 LL (nvidia-smi returns expected results) and not work with JL+ images 6.1.53 or 6.1.60 (nvidia-smi returns cannot communicate with the driver message) Ugh, I wish I was more competent with ubuntu. 6.2.0.1016 LL reports I am using driver 535.129.03. Any help greatly appreciated. When i run nvidia-setting in a jl+ image I get this message.

When I was researching several years ago, this PSU did not exist, and yet the Seasonic's ripple is pretty similar. The EVGA is even a bit better with results posted from an impartial 3rd party. Your right an excel spread sheet does not make music. My system makes magic at DSD1024.

Back in the days when I was researching this JohnnyGuru was the site to go to, but that site no longer exists. Tom's hardware measures PSU's. Here are the ripple results of my 850 w Seasonic Titanium prime. Impressive for a 850 watt switching PSU. I just noticed the EVGA Super NOVA 850w T2 has slightly better Ripple numbers then the Seasonic at 100% load. 9.4mV vs 13.4mV. Seasonic Titanium series PSU's offer ripple numbers lower than HDPlex LPSU's. I use nothing else but these. I'd get the 1000 watt one. I am using a 850 watt one with a 3090 GPU and 12900KS CPU and I have no issues.
  12. View Classified T+A Dac 8 DSD w updated firmware for 512 playback on Mac OS & linux Selling price includes PP fees and shipping to lower 48. I am selling some gear that does not get used anymore. First up is this wonderful very well made German Dac. Which features 2 separate digital sections and 2 D/A sections each optimized for PCM and DSD (with a true 1-bit D/A converter). This dac recently ended production and was a class A+ rated item in stereophile. At this asking price you would be very hard pressed to find a better sounding Dac. I have rated it condition as 8/10 due to it not being new. I find no marks on the chassis. Dac functions perfectly. I have the original box, remote, manual and all paperwork that came with this dac. This dac was moved to my second system 2 years ago and has seen almost no use since that time. Early September I upgraded this Dac's firmware, so this Dac is now capable of playing native DSD signals in Windows, Mac or Linux OS up to DSD512. (older firmware could only play DSD512 in windows). I then upgraded the USB modules firmware as well. I am also including the RS232/USB adapter I used to perform these upgrades to the Dac's and USB modules firmware. So If new firmware is released for the USB module you can easily flash that or easily go back to the the existing USB firmware as it is reversable. Selling price includes PP fees and shipping to lower 48. Dac is available for audition and pickup if you desire. I have a 100% rating on ebay, audiogon and USAM. Box dimension are 16x16x10 and 15lbs. The Dac is located in Knoxville, TN. Seller Quadman Date 10/01/23 Price 2,150.00 USD Category Digital to Analog Converters
  13. I run a 12900KS cpu with a 280 artic freezer AIO cooler and a EVGA 3090 GPU with 3 stock fans. I don't overclock except I select XMP 1. My ram is 4500 Mhz DDR4. with Jussi's latest 22.04 images, I can do DSD1024 with many of easier EC5 modulators (DSD5ec, ASDM5EC, ASDM5ECv2, ASDM5ECv3, ASDM5EC-light) No EC 7 modulator works that I have tried without stuttering. My Favorite filters that always work with the above are Sinc-MGa, poly-sinc gauss-hires-mp and ip, poly-sinc-ext3. GPU temps run pretty much in the 59-61 degree C range, CPU temps, although I have not installed sensors since a new fresh Ubuntu install, generally run under 64 degrees C. I suspect even lower than that now as generally only 2 cores of my CPU have significant loads (60-80%) the rest just cruise. GPU usage is usually in the upper 20% range and often in the 30% range and occasionally I briefly see usage in the low 40% range. GPU ram usage is not significant with the above filters, meaning most GPU's with 12GB ram could easily run what I run above. The longest filters use the GPU ram the most. (Sinc-L, Sinc-LI, Sinc medium and sinc-Long) with those a 24gb card would be useful. I haven't run windows in a while but back when I did I could never do the heavier filters that were successfully running with ubuntu, so I stick with ubuntu.
