  1. Anyone ever get a response from the Audirvana folks? I submitted a contact email through their site last week and have not been contacted. I bought A+2.5 and when I tried to create a Tidal account with their 3 month free trial, it errors out and said the promotion wasn't valid. Still created the Tidal account... But now every time I log into A+ it says my tidal account must be a premium account to stream anything.
  2. Well, I'm gonna be in San Fran tonight(and so is Iggy...) trying to decide if I should go see him play. I bet it would be a pretty high DR.
  3. I have been enjoying this album very much this week. One of the more true to life piano recordings that I own. Sent from my iPhone using Computer Audiophile mobile app
  4. No... Not a "headphones" guy yet. Demo'd the HD800s and liked them, but just not a contender to use while traveling. Considering that as I type this, there is a mother with a screaming baby in arms right behind me on my flight home and with my 846s in at a reasonable volume I can't hear anything but delightful music, I feel I made the right choice. When home, I prefer listening to (and feeling) my music over large tower speakers. (I live alone so no worries of bothering someone else) Getting ready to upgrade to the GoldenEar Triton Ones to get more out of my growing DSD and high-res library. The problem is that this thread and the album recommendations here are starting to put a dent on the new speaker fund. Sent from my iPhone using Computer Audiophile mobile app
  5. They are not quite as expensive as the HD800s, but yes... they are that good. There are tons of reviews available everywhere, and I agree with their consistently glowing comments. The detail is unbelievable. Highs, mids and bass meld perfectly. The bass drivers are second to none and defy belief without overwhelming or muddying any other part of the audio spectrum. Also, with three changeable filters you can really customize the sound to your preference. I fly around 200k miles a year and big, wonderful headphones are not really a desirable option. Noise isolating IEMs are the way to go, and these are really some of(if not the) best you can get. UE 18 pros might be an option, but the bass drivers are said to be inferior to the Shures.
  6. Well, I can't get enough acoustic guitar... I am really digging the music these two deliver on this album. Can I ask you what resolution you downloaded? I can take advantage of the DSD256 format with my setup(iFi micro-iDSD with Shure SE 846), but I can honestly say I've never spent $60 on 11 digital tracks before. In your experience is it worth the extra $20 for the highest-res format?
