  1. For an internal SSD or are you saying mount the drive externally, if the drive is internal how do you power it seperately ? Does the wireless bridge improve it by removing the WIFI from the Aries ?
  2. They already have Windows control for the device, ''just'' missing the library bit.. It was supposed to be going to become open source like the Squeezebox.
  3. J River on my laptop as control point for my SSD in Aries Mini. I have a dream...?
  4. I have just had a reply from Auralic on the same issue, this was the response. I had a look at my SSD the drive is formatted in EXT 3 by the Aries, a Linux file system which Windows cannot recognise. Though strangely the Lightning DS is installed on a FAT 32 partition. 6. My Samsung 1TB SSD did like wise after an hour I rebooted the Aries and it worked fine.
  7. Sorry I cant help but the DB Poweramp forum may.. https://forum.dbpoweramp.com/
  8. Great track all the same. My go to music for driving through that there London.
  9. New Firmware, Roon ready and an MQA fight.... http://www.digitalaudioreview.net/2017/04/auralic-firmware-v5-0-adds-dsp-engine-web-browser-control/
  10. What I was hoping for, I have had to borrow an Ipad to maximise my customer experience.....
  11. Many thanks for the replies, I currently use an external USB drive and am just weighing up the pros and cons of adding an internal SSD. Adding files from USB sounds like the best option. The Aries mini is a fabulous piece of kit, though in an ideal world control from a PC app akin to JRiver would be the ideal solution for me.
  12. So if I add an internal SSD to house my library how could I add new files to it ? Is it possible to copy from USB ? As an aside I have just swapped from Hypex N-Cores to some DIY, class A/B amps with a whole new leap in SQ. into my Quad 989 ESL's.
  13. Is there any increase in sound quality, or just ease of access ?
