  1. Hi again, After a reboot of my PC, speed has increased on the same disc, so it was something strange with my PC or Windows it seems...
  2. I ripped my SACDs a month ago with no problems, but now when I bought another and started ripping it yesterday (on my Oppo 103) it is much slower than it used to be. It only rips with 0.3MB/s which makes it take hours to rip one disk!. Bitrate is stable, and no lost blocks according to my PC, though. Has anyone else seen this? (I don't have the PC and player directly connected, but haven't changed my connections since last rip..)
  3. I didnt realize there was a choice either, until i happend to try this other dropbox link https://www.dropbox.com/sh/8cunli3d3basmix/AAAY2mPDW9QH_so52EwCCBhya?dl=0 in a message from ted-b from 07-21-2016. In this one the executable file didn't have "-160" appended, and when i tried putting these contents on the usb drive it worked immediately.
  4. I got a used Oppo BDP103 this week, and am now ripping my sacd collection too! I did however have some problems at first, as the sacd-extract crashed at every connect attempt, since i didn't realize that i was using the wrong version of sacd-extract, the one for Pioneer 160/170 players. Big thanks to everyone here!
  5. I just got a used oppo and am looking for the same, so if you find it, please let me know.
  6. Sounds like an issue with the laser assembly of you machine rather than the machine type.
  7. Thanks so much for this, especially as i was seriously considering buying a BDP-180 for this purpose!
  8. The initial post mentions two compatible oppo players ab a few pioneers. Has anyone tried to research the full list of (potentially) compatible players?
  9. Ok. And we assume that all new chips will lack this capability? Sent from my Nexus 5X using Computer Audiophile mobile app
  10. I think there are pretty good odds that Oppo and/or Pioneer will release a UHD Blu-ray player in the coming 6 months. What do you think about the odds that one of those (or some other UHD BD player) will be able to rip SACD's? Are the chips used in mentioned players still current?
  11. Could you be a bit more specific? As far as I understand there are no computer DVD/BD drives that can give you the DSD data stream from an SACD-disc. I hope I am wrong...?
  12. Yes, agreed a status update would be much appreciated! Is everything progressing, has there bee a lack of time for the project lately, or are there perhaps technical problems that need to be sorted out? Thanks for your efforts! :-)
