  1. I am interested in using the usb3.0 input of my wifi router as a nas via my external hdd drive. whats the difference in doing this versus using a nas box like qnap. I use my macbook pro as my roon core attached to my dac. so the set up is set up: external HDD -> usb 3.0 -> wifi router usb.3.0 input -> cat 7 cable -> (roon)macbook pro-> dac is there a advantage for a true nas vs this method?
  2. I'm still confused about Mqa and streamers. does the streamer need Mqa also or just the dac?
  3. awesome! New Aries wish list: SSD HD for internal storage isolated usb3.0/3.1 output faster processor DSD 512 output (don't know why just sounds cool like my chord dave) MQA (might as well just do this for bells and whistles) beefier linear power supply more refined exterior case
  4. just wondering what rate where you running to the msb and was it via usb or renderer?
  5. i really wish the sonore psu offered two outputs like the js2 for the cost
  6. how are most of you choosing between using a Ethernet vs usb, ie microrendu vs jcat usb/regen for data to the dac?
  7. can you tell me what was the power supply before? make model?

    HQ Player

miska, could the the new GTX titan X just run hqplayer if offloaded from the processor? the specs are a little outrageous
  9. so like most people, if you run tidal, roon, hqplayer to a 6700k with no gpu, in stereo, no room correction, using high end filters what percent does that run the cpu?
  10. so you would have to stream tidal to the hqplayer server then send the signal to roon streamer? is that built into the system? typically I thought the order is Tidal -> roon -> hqplayer?

Miska, I read on a article, your house is like mine, that your music room doesn't have ethernet available and the router is a on the floor above. Do you think streaming dsd512 via router to AP/bridge is possible? most wifi bridges are capable of 1200-1900mbps.
  12. any need for SOtM Audiophile PCIe to USB Audio Card?
  13. I do agree that totaldac should look into developing a US product representative to help with any issues like lampizator does. Also have more demos at US events. Most of all the reviews I have read on forums are usually from people in Europe. I will admit that if you ever see a totaldac on sale on gon it's sold in a few days.
  14. I have the same opinion as others. I have looked into the product and yes the reviews are amazing. The issue for me is getting service. Vincent is very good at responding to emails, but shipping over seas and going through customs is a headache. I do like the fact that they will upgrade products for a cost. I also agree he should develop a better gui with the server. Honestly I would only consider the six or dual.
