  1. I am still having the same problems even after a full reset. Is there any way to revert back to the previous version?
  2. Thanks Ted, I was concerned by the warning from Auralic telling Ipad owners not to upgrade to 2.4. I will check all the other aspects but it worked faultlessly before this change.
  3. I have upgraded my app and after having a lot of trouble I have just seen the info to tell me not to upgrade to this version if using an IPad. Does anyone know how to go back to a previous version of the software, the only app available in the ITunes store is the new one. My library will not show and the app keeps crashing and telling me that my netwok folder has the wrong IP address. I have rescanned a few times and I can access via folder but album art will not show and it says my Library is empty. Any help will be appreciated.
  4. its stored on the Synology NAS. I have a folder named "my shared folder" then sub folders, "Flac" "MP3" "new stuff" and "rips" The Aries finds "Diskstation" then accesses the shared folder etc. I stopped using Lightning for my library, preferred Minimserver, it works a treat. Initially I had some problems with albums not showing but I just referred to the Minimserver log to see where the errors were, then spent a few hours with Mp3tag tidying up the files. Have you tried resetting the Aries and doing a fresh install? It is possible you may have a faulty one but I hope not.
  5. wish I could be of more help, there is something obviously wrong, I have as much music as you and the mini I had took a couple of minutes to scan the lot, I now have the full Aries and again it takes no time at all to scan. Have you tried contacting Auralic support?
  6. You say in an earlier post that you choose own dlna, what server are you using? If you are not using Lightning DS then you must specify another server, the best alternative, if using a Synology, would be Minimserver which is one of the included packages on the Synology. Install Minimserver and point it to the Shared folder that you have set up, it will then appear as an option when you set up your library on the Aries. Hope this helps, good luck.
  7. No, it's all fine, just needed some time to sort itself out. Everything is as it should be, excellent. Cheers again!
  8. many thanks, my index on the left has been arranged properly, but my album view still shows the original format ie. The Who. I will try a refresh cache and see if that sorts it. i appreciate your reply, seasons greetings to you!
  9. Hi, great tip, got my tags sorted. excuse my ignorance, but how do I sort my album covers in the same way? cheers.
  10. Hi, it takes about 5 minutes, 1.5 Tb of music on a Synology network drive. I am going to try a 2Tb internal drive next week.
  11. Whilst still loving the sound of the Mini, I am really frustrated by the fact that a full rescan is needed every time new music is added to my network drive. According to the help files it should quickly detect any changes and update but I find it does a complete rescan. Am I doing something wrong?
  12. I would love to answer your question, trouble is it was one of those situations where I tried that many things that I can't remember what I did to get it all working! After now trying all the different control apps, I have settled on Kinsky which seems to give me all the features I want.
