  1. Just an update. If I move the folder containing the ISO file from Downloads to Music, it will work. I can see the folder containing the ISO file if it is in Music and the .dsf files will extract to the ISO2DSD folder. It used to be able to see the folders in Downloads but now doesn't. Is there a setting or fix for this?
  2. Hi Trying to split a ISO file using ISO2DSD for the first time since updating to Mac OS Ventura 13 and it no longer seems to work. The GUI .jar file launches and the GUI appears but you cannot see or access the files in the directories or folders. I have V6 for Mac OS. Is there a newer version which works? Thanks
  3. @JoshM OK I am a little confused here. I have 2 versions of Nightfly both of which I ripped and no longer have the CD's. One is the Japanese Target which I found drier and more hi fi sounding - the instrumental separation was impressive. The other is a rip from a German manufactured CD. The code at the back cover which I scanned says 923696-2. I no longer have the disc to look at the matrix. The separation of instruments is not so precise on this but it had fuller mids and more bass. Would this be the one from the inferior analogue tape? Or could it be the same master but given the manufacturing differences in the Japanese Target and this German one, they ended up sounding different? Ultimately, in my system I preferred this. Thanks
  4. Thanks Dave I found it didn't make much of a difference compared to the switching power supply that came with the downstream FMC - at least none that I could hear anyway.
  5. What's the difference in sound you get from lifting the cable box? Mine are just sitting on the floor - both box and cable itself. Thanks
  6. Hi I was sent some bootleg live videos taken by a friend in MP4 format. I want to extract just the audio tracks which are in 32-48 kHz to FLAC. I have tried VLC which can only extract to 16-44.1 WAV - the FLAC files turn out weird. I have also tried AVIdemux which extracts to 16-48 WAV. Is there anyway to do this while preserving the original 32-48 kHz data? I am on Mac OS Big Sur if that matters. Thanks
  7. No worries. It is for most part a decent programme with only this exception in my usage so far. Theoretically I don't suppose there should be these limitations as Foobar also uses the same SACD Extract programme correct? Foobar has no problems decoding these characters.
  8. ISO2DSD stopped working on a track with the title 04. Boccherini_ Einleitung [Quintettino »Aufziehen der militärischen Nachtwache in Madrid«] I suspect it could be the symbols or double byte characters in the title that caused the error. Hopefully the developers fix this issue.
  9. No worries. It's alright. I usually use iSO2DSD on Mac. Please see my opening post. Just that ISO2DSD could not extract the files from this one particular Von Karajan SACD ISO. I got the error message: "illegal byte sequence" But I used Foobar on my old PC on the same SACD ISO as per your instructions and it worked. Thanks again
  10. You cannot install the DSD plugins for the Mac version. They do not have a repository for it in "Preferences" like the PC version.
  11. It worked like a dream this time. Thanks again
  12. Hi Bogi I tried it on my old Windows machine. It kind of worked but instead of getting multiple DSF files, I just got one DSF file, I presume just of the first track. However, Foobar itself shows all the split tracks when I add the ISO to it. When I go through the convert process, it also seems to be be going through and splitting the tracks. Please see screenshots. The .rtf text file shows the Foobar convert results. Please advise as to what I could be doing wrong. Thanks Karajan.rtf
