  1. Hi, finally I had some time testing, and I found a couple of things. When I went from playback via Airplay to normal playback the sound was distorted, and it turned out that the ALSA volume was now at 100, not at the normal 40. When I add my complete library to the playlist, moode (or the browser I use) becomes very slow and sometimes completely unresponsive. Is this known problems? J
  2. Tim, no weird sounds when going from 16 to 24 bit flac files.
  3. hmm, I feel like I'm getting a little bit of bit-envy. all my files are 16 bit (44.1). I downloaded a 24/96 file, but it does not appear anywhere in moode. How does moode handle the fact that I have songs in a mp3 source that also exists in a flac source? they do not show twice in the library... j
  4. All is good now. maybe it was me being tired, maybe it was something technical. whatever it was, it works as expected now. thanks again, j
  5. the values are as you describe. I will check more music and settings tomorrow. looking forward to the clarification from Daniel. thanks for all your help, j
  6. On 0dB it reads 40. the same as the alsa volume in system config, if it matters. j
  7. after doing this, the overall volume level is very low.
  8. thanks for the fast response. setting the alsa volume to 100 fixed it! I did not understand the alsa volume setting, and since it said that the value was read at startup, i didn't dare to change it. is it possible to not show genres in library? is it possible to sort big and small caps together, not as it is now with big caps first then small caps? this works for albums, but not for artists. thank you, donation coming. j
  9. Hi Tim, I have tested 2.4 test release version 4, and I cannot make it work on my pi2 with hifiberry dac+ pro. everything looks and behaves like normal, but no sound is coming out. I ran the test image from hifiberry, so I know my hardware is working. are there any volume settings I might have overlooked? thanks, j
