  1. Everything still working since "save changes"?
  2. Just to update this thread. So on Sunday I switched back to 2.3OS. mR working perfectly since.
  3. Ok overnight experiment done. Yesterday, I powered on my PC. Loaded up Kazoo, got connected to the mR. I sent the mR two albums to play, then powered off the computer. This morning when I woke up I was unable to connect to the mR via the PC Computer App or Lumin on (iPhone, iPad, Android). I was able to get to the mR to manage it over the web interface. As soon as I wemt to app switcher and selected the MPD/DNLA output mode I could see the mR from all my devices. I'm tapped out of ideas to try to troubleshoot this. Hopefully this was helpful to someone. I'll try anything else to help, but at this point 2.3OS is going back in the mR.
  4. No joy overnight. I hardwired the mR and ran the tests. There is something about the DNLA client that is coming offline. Its almost like it is timing out without a hardwired controller. My reasoning for this is that after the dnla "goes" away from Lumin on iPad, i can't connect with kazoo on my iphone , or kazoo on PC, or Lumin on ANDROID tablet. I think that this indicates that Lumin app is not losing the mR, but that the mR DLNA is timing out or such. I am going to run one more experiment where I power the unit on. Connect via PC (which was reliable for over a day), Program some songs to play and then power off the PC. I'll try to reconnect via PC after a day to see if the DNLA instance is still live. I'll take any other suggestions. I would like 2.5OS to work, but I can put the 2.3 one back in.
  5. Same problem. mR has dropped out of Lumin. Its funny its like the mpd/dnla client is gone. I can't get to it from a secondary tablet. mR is still on network. I can manage it.
  6. I had to uninstall and reinstall the mpd client after the update. I am testing the ipad now. Will report back later.
  7. I have a "double wireless" here. So I am trying to determine if the problem is that. I only reported the issue because it was brought up on another forum and mentioned that it was a known issue. By double wireless I mean iPad control wireless and mR connected hardwired to wireless ethernet bridge. It worked mostly fine with 2.3, only the occasional reboot. I'll load the update, but if problem persists I'll run a temporary hardwire to the mR from switch and report back.
  8. First off let me say that I din NOT run the update you just loaded. I let my test of my wired pc run all night. That PC does not go to sleep and I have turned off all power saving except screen saver. When I got up this morning the PC Kazoo app was still connected to the mR. It ran through the 100 song playlist.
  9. I do not have BubbleUpnp running at the moment. I usually do, but removed it as part of the troubleshooting. Currently I a, connected via Kazoo from my PC running 100 songs through the mR from the Kazoo PC app. I'll let you know how it goes. If that fails I'll load up Bubble Upnp and try again. From memory when I had Bubble running the bubble upnp device was still there when the straight upnp device disappeared, but the device still didn't produce music.
  10. Last night I updated my mR. Today home from work and mR has dropped off Lumin app on iPad. I can browse to the mR, but not available as target for Lumin. I had no music playing at alll just sitting there since last night. I tried loading Linn Kazoo app, but it could not find mR. I wemt into app launcher and selected MPD/DLNA (it already said active). mR was then available to both Kazoo and Lumin. I really don't think it is an iPad issue. I have a desktop PC which I'll try to load Kazoo on. I'll try to run some music with it then see if it can stay connected to mR.
  11. So I recomnected my mR about 11:30am today. Listened to some music (working from home). About 4pm I turned the music off. Went about my evening. Got home at 10pm and checked the Lumin App. The mR was now gone from Lumin. The mR is seen by my web browser, just not the Lumin app. I have not done a system update since I got the 2.5 card. I was concerned because the web page says current version 2.5 and new version 2.3. Should I run the update utility and then see? Maybe reinstall my 2.3 OS version and see if the problem stays or goes away? I do actually use a wireless bridge to extend my network. Maybe a temporary hard line to test it out?
  12. I also have had it when not playing. I only listen to music every couple of days and have noticed since the upgrade to 2.5 that I usually have to reboot. I disconnected and reseated my usb connectors today. I'll let you know in a day or two if it worked.
  13. I am having issues with the new 2.5 OS. I'm using upnp/dnla mode. My mR keeps on requireing a reboot to function. It works for awhile then just stops. The mR is still on the network, I can browse to it and reboot, but a couple hours later it is gone. I use the Lumin app to control. Yesterday it happened mid song. I thought that it was the bubble app, but I removed that and still the same problem. Lumin app seems to work without bubble upnp as long as I am only using local NAS music files.
  14. Check out all the information on here about the Sonore MicroRendu. I have personal experience replacing the SBT. First I built a dedicated silent pc. I used Win 7 and J river. Added a pro digital output card. Then went to usb. Then added Schiit Wyred. Then changed to linux and used Daphile. Then I added a Naim Unitiqute and used the PC as just a server. Trust me. Forget all this junk. Get a Sonore Microrendu with the standard power supply. It is way better than anything I had before. Also reports of the Sotm SMS-200 are also good and worth consideration.
  15. Just checking, but would a 7V, 2A power supply be adequate to run the SMS-200 off of? It is a linear supply of high quality.
