  1. Tried High Sierra some time ago, but was not happy with the sound quality. Had to downgrade to Sierra, which sounded much better with Audirvana. Some weeks ago I took the jump to Mojave. No major change in sound quality, at least as good as Sierra in my opinion.
  2. I am not using direct mode, the workaround is way above my data capabilities. Even so I didn`t experience any negative change in sound going from El Capitan to Sierra. However from Sierra to High Sierra the sound quality (using Audirvana 2.x.x) became substantially reduced. I don`t have any obvious explanation. Back on Sierra I am happy with the situation, especially after the upgrade to 3.5.5.
  3. Installed Audirvana 3.5.5 a couple of days ago. ). I`m not using streaming or any upsampling, playing (ripped) CDs via Macbook Air (ext HD), Devialet Expert Pro 220 (Devialet Air). Everything works perfectly, also the control app. In my opinion Damien has really hit the mark with 3.5.5. I have used Audirvana for many years, but now experience more resolution, more musicality, more fun to listen. Very well done, Damien Another topic which may not belong to this thread (?) is sound difference in different versions of Mac OS. When using Audirvana 2.x.x I tried High Sierra resulting in reduced sound quality in my opinion. I`m now back on Sierra. Still haven`t decided if I will try Mojave. Others with the same experience?
  4. Yes that is right. Also you have the quality of the USB cable. I use Vertere D-Fi. Its good, but not top of the line.
  5. Want to ask a question to the experts on this forum. I have been a user of Audirvana for years, now v2.6.8 on Macbook Air, OS Sierra. I have used USB connection to Devialet 220, and have been satisfied with the sound quality. My computer knowledge (especially Mac) is limited to say the least. After Devialet Air 3 was released I have got it to work, and my music is now playing via Devialet Air WiFi to Devialet 220 Pro. I have experienced an increase in sound quality using Devialet Air compared to USB. I am still using Audirvana 2.6.8 as player/library. I have my music (AIFF) ripped to a local USB disc. Question: Could I expect improvement in sound quality upgrading to Audirvana 3.0 when using Devialet Air? I could off course buy the upgrade and try it as the asking price is ridiculously low, or use the trial period, but I hesitate a little as some of the forum members have reported problems when trying to go back from A3 to earlier versions. Apologize if this should have been posted in another tread.
  6. Yes, that did the trick. Very, Very helpful. Thank you all for response. This forum is really wonderful
  7. Thanks for your kind answer. I am using iTunes 12.3.2. I mark all songs belonging to the Album. Typing command-I get me to the Get Info window, but I cant see any checkbox to uncheck Album Art (picture). So the old Album Art is still there. A very time consuming prosedyre is to erase the whole album from iTunes, and rip it again, and then paste the right Album Art. Hoped there should be a more easy solution.
  8. I use iTunes for ripping and archiving my music. I usually find Album Art on internet and paste it in the Archive Menu - Get Info - Pictures. From time to time it appears I have pasted a wrong Album Art (picture), and want to correct it later. However I cant find a way to delete the wrong Album Art from the Get Info. Is there a solution for this problem? Apologize if there is another tread concerning this.
  9. Wilsynet: Thank you for your kind answer. I'm new to the Mac way of doing things so this was very useful for me I'll try it next time when problems with the app
  10. After upgrading to IOS 9.1 (iPad Air 2) the Audirvana Remote app seems less stable. Sometimes there are problems connecting to Audirvana software (Macbook Air) and from time to time the app goes freezing, so its impossible to change artists or songs. I have to shut down completely my iPad and restart. Then the app is functioning for some time. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a problem With iOS 9.1 and Audirvana Remote app?
  11. Apologize if this is off-topic in this thread, but grateful for help with the following problem: Audirvana won’t play iTunes Integrated mode (after iTunes Library synchronization) For a year I have used Audirvana Plus 2 together with iTunes (integrated mode) with excellent results. The last couple of days I have tried Audirvana “stand-alone” mode by letting Audirvana synchronize iTunes Music Library, and using the A2 remote app. This works ok. But when trying to go back to iTunes integrated mode, Audirvana won’t play the music files in the iTunes Music Library. Opening Audirvana also opens iTunes as normal, and it looks like the file is loading, but when I press play the cursor does’t move and the file is not playing. When using iTunes alone (without Audirvana) the files are playing without problems. Looks like it – after the synchronization of iTunes Library - have to be some “adjustment” in Audirvana that have to be set for it to play in iTunes integrated mode? I also tried the delete button for the Library synchronization window, but it didn’t solve the problem. Using MacBook Air (Mavericks)/USB/Devialet 200. Have any of the Audirvana specialist here any suggestions what could be wrong? Have to add that my computer knowledge (especially Mac) is rudimentary to say the least.
