So i got these brand new discounted a5+ a while ago. Ive always been a headphones or in ear guy but im really loving these speakers. Im ready to purchase a dac to improve my listening experience but im a noob so i have a few questions.
1. Should i be spending 100 dollars on a dac for these speakers? Would there be a significant improvement if i do?
2. Its going to be plugged in my computer only and my maximus hero viii motherboard supports optical and usb, which one should i use?
3. Any recommendations? My last resort would be the audioengine d1 but i dont need a headphone amp, i alreafy have a fiio for that. Ive heard good things about MUSE dacs for their price/performance ratios and some recommendations about the modi 2.
