Hello wklie, see attachment if i have 2 x an L2 in a setup , and i want to copy music files from L2 no.1 to the other L2 no.2, can i connect one L2 to the second L2 to RJ 45 port and make full copy from L2 no.1 to the L2 no.2 or is there a better solution, to make full copy of music files to a second L2 ?

Wklie, I have installed 2 HDD 2.5 drives in my Lumin L2. I have noticed when i do the shutdown of the Lumin as described in the online manual: when turning LUMIN L2 off, the standby button should be used to unmount the disks, then the front panel display will show a message when it is safe to turn off the power rocker switch. I have noticed that there is still power ! on the HDD , it take about 1-2 min before the HDD in the Lumin L2 goes to idle mode. With the Lumin L1 , when i shutdown , there is a status light , when it's safe to power off, thats works fine. So i am used to that. But now, i am not sure, when it's safe to turn off my Lumin L2 . Is the Lumin L2 only designed , when the standby button is used, only for SSD, a safe way to turn-off ?? I want to know, what is the safest way ? for me to turn off the Lumin L2 with HDD's without damaging the HDD's ( at the moment , after the standby button , i wait 2 minutes before turn of the power rocker switch ) greet,

Hello wklie, i have the Lumin L2 and also the lumin L1 , if i want to compare the two , is this possible in the same setup. how should i connect it, with a lumin D2. And what are the main differences between the L1 and L2 , what has lumin done to make it sound better ;-) ?

Hello Peter, I have the Lumin L2 , and i was wondering about an seperate linear power supply, because the powersupply which is build in the Lumin L2, is an Switched power supply, see attachment.(found this picture on internet) Do you know if Lumin has an upgrade solution for an linear power supply ? for the Lumin L2 music library & network switch. for instance the LUMIN X1 PSU Upgrade, could this be used ?? with an dedicated cable ??

I have the new Lumin L2Music Library & Network Switch to try out, it came without harddrives , so i have few questions : 1. which SSD / HDD is recommended , brand , type , speed 2. can i use the same as in the L1, can I place the L1 HDD in the L2 ? 3. if i am ordering an L2 with 2x2TB, which brand , type , speed of SSD is included? I have tried in the L1 an SSD, the speed was very quick ;-), but the sound was not good, How is this in the L2, is there an difference or is it specially made for SSD ?

answer from the Lumin Company 21 sep 2015 : Sorry for the delay in respond. The LUMIN player has the current playlist. The LUMIN player current playlist is saved in the LUMIN player when power is removed. The LUMIN app shows the LUMIN player's current playlist. Saved playlist is only stored in the LUMIN app. Saved playlist in LUMIN app is also backed up on iCloud. If you use iCloud, you should have the same saved playlist using LUMIN app. Do a "swipe to delete" to delete a saved playlist entry. It's a standard iOS operation. The playlist (current or saved) contains the IP address of the server, so the playlist will only work in the same local network. Usually the saved playlist won't work with another music server or another network. To backup (or copy/delete any file) file on L1, simply connect L1 via USB on the PC/Mac. PC/Mac will see the L1 as a simple USB storage. You can connect multiple L1 on a PC/Mac and copy files between different units, just like copy file between different USB storage. On all LUMIN players, both digital output and analog output work at the same time (unless you disabled digital output in LUMIN app). You can connect both digital output and analog output at the same time. But do NOT connect both XLR and RCA analog output at the same time, because both analog outputs share the same output circuit and audio quality may be degraded if both analog outputs are active at the same time. if you install 9.0 IOS , my own situation : after install IOS 9 on my iPad, Qobuz streaming on the Lumin app, did not work correctly, own playlists were not available or shown see attached pictures. you should first ; shut down iPad start up iPad start up LUMIN app again then Qobuz own playlists is working fine, as it now looks .

Just had contact today , with Lumin Music, Pixelmagic , on the Phone, Technical person will respond next week, he is not available at this moment.
