Hi, I want to pay for HQ 5 Desktop, without waiting the 30 days. How can I do that?

Which of these should I choose for an iMac Ventura? It has Intel Chip. I use the Desktop Versions. TIA!

I see 4.22.0 listed, but clicking on it only produces 4.22.1. I've cleared caches too.

I'm sorry to say I don't know how to do that...Couldn't you just fly to Oakland and hold my hand while you fix it for me? Or, Please tell me the steps to take, and think of the money you just saved! Sorry and Thanks, Jim

The earliest version of HQ I can find to download is 4.22.1, and it crashes on opening everytime on Catalina. I click on 4.22.0, but 4.22.1 is all that is offered. Am I stuck on HQ 4.7.2 for Catalina? Not really a problem, but i read that 4.22.0 was OK for Catalina, but I'm not finding it.

Try Un-checking 48K and set 44.1/512 as your limit.

Thanks, Miska! The newest one I found is HQ 4.22.0, from 4/18/23. I'll get it when I download the new OS. I need to upgrade the Finale Music Notation Software too. Looking forward to some new stuff!

And Bogi, Thanks for the tip I was operating HQ at -3 db, not -6, as I thought! Fixed!

Hi, I'm on Mac Mojave , 10.14.6 and HQ 4.7.2. If I get Catalina, 10.15.7, will I need to get a newer version of HQ, or will it work on Catalina as well as it does on Mojave? What version of HQ should I get if I need to upgrade? TIA!

That's OK! I set the Vol at 0db manually. There is also an option to raise the level by 6 db, haven't used that. I'm just going to follow my ears and not worry about it anymore. Here is my usual Vol Setting for -6 db, Miska said this way is OK.

I was only using 0 db for Direct DSM, not for upsampling PCM or DSD to higher DSD rate. It really seems to sound better to me. -6 db ( -3/-3) seems to shrink the image, can't duplicate the presence I (think ) I hear with Direct SDM.

Is it safe to listen to Direct SDM at 0db on the Volume Control, instead of my usual -3/-3? I've tried it a few times recently, and today in particular, I'm liking the Direct SDM at 0 db so much more, more present, textured, vivd, involving, etc, and no sign of clipping on Jimmy Smith Monster Mash DSD 128 File. It's not a great recording, but I like it and listen to it from time to time. It has never sounded like it did today , tho!! I know it's not recommended to mess with the Volume Control on HQ, but but playing with Direct SDM un-checked, and at -3/-3, it just didn't sound like it did at 0 db and DSDM checked. I'm not talking abut upsampling at 0db, which I gather could allow clipping. But the Direct SDM 0db sound is very much to my liking! Will I be arrested (if found)....?
  15. Thanks! I'll check it all out. I won't be Buying, but I may be Drooling! Jim
