  1. Have you checked in Squeezelite > Alsa Mixer that both sliders are at 0db? I also disable the Pi in built audio in that same page. Not sure if that would make the difference though if enabled but it can't hurt to turn it off.
  2. I seem to recall this means it's unused so is therefore free for you to use.
  3. Can't see why I can't edit that last post but whatever, I was confused with the Attenuator in your question above so please accept my apologise and ignore my previous answer. I don't have any info on the Isolator
  4. I emailed the dev along time ago and he said it didn't support the isolator and he didn't expect it to. Whether that's changed not sure. You can use the Boss2 with moode, just the isolator might not be supported.
  5. Don't know if this helps you but I have a display hooked up to the PI and running PiCoreplayer as a squeezebox player with streaming from LMS. I just output the cover art to an old LCD (not touch) from there and it does the job nicely.
  6. My Harmony 650 setup program has a profile for the Klipsch ProMedia DD5.1 Pre/Pro Decoder if that's any use. You can pick up the 650 or even a 350 for not much money these days.
  7. You can power the Pi from the isolator and then power the boss seperately so the answer is probably yes. Take note of any required jumper settings though mentioned in the isolator manual. You could use the 3a for the 'dirty' side then use the 1a for the boss if you found that 1a was not enough to power isolator & pi or vice versa.. The 3A requirement is a little generous imo but it may need this much depending on how much of the pi's resources you're using ie BT, WIFI, HDMI etc. As a guide I'm running a PI 3b+ from a battery bank & the Katana stack on top from a 2.5a linear. This is running picoreplayer with some underclocking and a few bits turned off, I never see any low power warnings & all is well, no sd probs, crashing etc..
  8. There really is no excuse for this, and it's a borderline fraud. According to companies house this guy is born 1951, you would have hoped for a little more integrity. Can't deliver? FULL Refund.
  9. As Allo support don't seem to bother answering that often I have found this from the Isolator 1.2 manual Powering options Power Options: Isolator requires 5V primary power and 5V clean power as secondary. Primary Power can be fed from the RPI or through USB-C type connector on Isolator according to RPI Power Isolation Jumper J26. Primary Power: RPI POWER Isolation Jumper (J26) Closed >> Connect 5V 3A PSU to Isolator USB-typeC. Isolator board will feed power to RPI. RPI POWER Isolation Jumper (J26) Opened - Power source connect to RPI Secondary Power (5V Clean Power): This power is taken from the DAC connected on top of Isolator. Jumper settings required on Katana and Boss: Katana DAC : Katana board J30 closed (ON) Boss DAC : J25 jumper closed (ON)
  10. As a new owner of a Katana it would be nice to know what the fix for these problems are. Is there an issue with the Katana?
  11. Have you eyeballed the katana board for any possible problems?
  12. Two I can think of are https://www.hifiberry.com/products/digiplus/ https://www.allo.com/sparky/digione.html The hifiberry seems to tick the box more with value for money, low outlay so not much to lose.
  13. https://bohne-audio.com/de/high-end-produkte/die-besten-vorstufen-und-dacs/linnenberg-satie-dac/
  14. Nice, also works this way with minimserver as that also has ffmpeg as a stream converter. You could probably pass some of the other ffmpeg options like album gain, lowpass, highpass etc, have you tried anything other than equaliser settings?
  15. What about the ALLO – Relay Attenuator? Has inputs and can sit on top of the Boss dac
