  1. Yes, that’s exactly what it looks like! For me, it’s persistent in spite of doing fresh installs of both Mac app and Remote app.
  2. Hi Damien, thank you for the new release. It’s looking and sounding great! However, I’m having a couple of issues with the iPad remote app: 1. The first 100 or so album covers are loading in the remote app Browser view but the rest aren’t. I have a large library (4500+ albums) and I thought it would simply need a little time to show all the covers but even after leaving it overnight, I find no progress. I’ve tried deleting and adding the library again and also a fresh install, but that hasn’t worked either. This is only happening in the remote app; on the Mac, the album covers show up fine. 2. In the remote app Browser view, the side scroller that shows the alphabet is garbled. I cannot see A B C, etc, just scrambled gibberish. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the remote app but that hasn’t worked. I’m using an iPad Pro 2nd Generation and a Mac Mini 2012. This is only happening with the new version; I checked with the earlier version and the remote app still works as expected.
  3. Yes, that is exactly what happens. I was using a 2014 MacBook Pro with 8 GB RAM earlier with no issues. Now I have moved to a dedicated 2012 Mac Mini with 16 GB RAM and have started experiencing this. I would have thought that the extra RAM would ensure such things didn't occur. Is there anything I can do to correct this?
  4. Sorry for piping in again with another question: Lately I've noticed that when I tap on a track, it loads Ike it should but there is no audio for the first 2 seconds. It only happens on the first track. The rest of the queued tracks play perfectly. Is there an easy fix for this that I'm missing?
  5. I had only one. I'm saying "had" because I went and deleted the remote apps on the iOS devices and then reinstalled them from the App Store. I also switched off the Apple IR remote setting in the Preferences. I don't know which one worked but now I can control from both the iPhone and the iPad. Yay! Thank you all for your assistance.
  6. No, that's not the issue. I already have the app on my iPhone as well as my iPad. The problem is that I can only pair one at a time. It's something like this: When I pair the iPad, I get the prompt for the on-screen code, I input the code and it's paired. Next, I pair the iPhone, get the on-screen code, input the code and it's paired. But when I now try to use the iPad, I'm prompted again for the on-screen code. If I re-input this code on the iPad, the iPhone is automatically unpaired. Did I manage to explain the issue?
  7. Hmm, I tried reinstalling Audirvana but no change. I can only pair one remote at a time. How odd.
  8. How may remotes can one use at a time? I have the remote app on an iPhone and an iPad (and I recall being able to use both at the same time) but now when I pair the iPad remote app, the iPhone gets unpaired. Is that a bug or something new with v3?
  9. Don't be embarrassed — there are worse mistakes one could make Frankly, there are so many releases coming out of the Dead stable that it's easy to get some details mixed up. "If you get confused, listen to the music play" Now playing: Kezar Stadium, May 26, 1973
  10. Are you sure? The 80 disc box set was 30 Trips Around The Sun. It didn't feature Cornell May 8, 1977 — it had the Passaic show from April 25, 1977.
  11. Because the reels weren't in the vault. Some of these newly released Betty Boards (like the July 1978 recordings too) were only recently acquired. The story of how they were lost and then found again is a fascinating one. While I'm not overly dissatisfied with the UI, I do see the potential for improvement. But I agree with you that the sound takes precedence. What I don't agree with is questioning the motives of those who are complaining.

In the metadata, apart from the Artist and Album Artist tags, there are also two other tags called Sort Artist and Sort Album Artist. Earlier versions didn't recognise these but the new one does. Tags can be like this: Album Artist: Bob Dylan Sort Album Artist: Dylan, Bob In which case, the album metadata will show up as Bob Dylan but the album will be sorted under D. I too have found that the sorting seems to be random. Some albums are affected, some are not. To change this, I'm afraid there is no quick fix, or at least none that I can see. The only option is to fill in the "Sort" tags on the affected albums so that they show up according to your liking. I have close to 4000 albums and it's been a slow slog but I've reached Ray Charles so the end is in sight. You might as well get started

What's the fix for multiple discs? I had everything tagged properly with Yate but some of my albums are now split into individual discs.
