Hi all, I currently have a Lacie Lacinema media drive which is connected to my Rotel RA06 amp, a pair of monitor audio speakers and to the TV through HDMI. I have my music collection and movies on the drive.
What's the problem?
The interface to access (browse, search) music sucks, it's a remote (a real, plastic one) and I have to go from folder to sub-folder, etc, everytime I want to listen something.
What I would like?
A system that would allow me to use an iOS app and search, browse music on my iphone/ipad. This is essential, I don't to use fiddly remotes or tiny screens on a box. Also it will have to have analog RCA outputs to connect to my Rotel and HDMI to the TV. Support to external HD or a big internal HD is also important.
Also I'm a "light audiophile", meaning I value sound quality but not in the thousands (or tens) of €€€€ league. An upgrade to audio quality would be nice.
I've been searching but I get dizzy with all the options and none seems to fit my bill.
Budget around 500€, maybe more if I see the value.
Any suggestions?
