  2. GET 25% OFF LITTLE KRUTA'S JUSTICE ON HDTRACKS WITH CODE CPUJUSTICE Offer expires 11/30/2019 "Gorgeous" - MetalSucks "Beautiful" - Metal Injection What would happen if you took And Justice for All, the iconic 1988 album from Thrash Metal icons, Metallica, and reimagined it for a Classical orchestra? Add to that four emerging Jazz and Soul vocalists. You're left with one of the most intriguing interpretations of Rock material ever recorded. Brought to you by Little Kruta, featuring a band comprised entirely of women, Justice will forever change the way you perceive Metallica, Classical Music, and what an audiophile recording can be. On Justice, Little Kruta, consisting of Kristine Kruta (Musical Director & Cello), Maria Im (Concert Mistress & Violin), Katie Jacoby (Violin & Soloist), Chiara Fasi (Violin), Molly Fletcher (Violin), Laura Sacks (viola), Tia Allen (viola), Adi Meyerson (upright bass), and Rosie Slater (percussion), are joined with sensational vocalists Alita Moses, Camille Trust, Lauren Desberg, and Jenn Mundia -- each joining for two songs. Recorded in a single day in a decomissioned Brooklyn church, the Pierre Piscitelli arrangements of the beloved thrash melodies are completely transformed into moving pieces that will speak to fans of all genres. Justice features a fascinating blend of musical styles, influences, and personalities. Little Kruta has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (Aminé, Metro Boomin and Gunna), Late Night with Seth Meyers (K.Flay), Saturday Night Live! (Shawn Mendes), at Brooklyn's Barclay's Center (Ruff Ryders), and more. Little Kruta has joined artists including Kaki King, The Wonder Years, and Vérité both on-stage and in-studio. Comprised of master musicians who are just as comfortable in the booth as they are on stage, the foundation of this orchestra is built on a true love of playing, and led by cellist Kristine Kruta. 4. Get 25% Off Meiko's Playing Favorites on HDtracks With Code CPUMEIKO Hear the album David Chesky exclaims "may be our best sounding vocal album ever recorded" "Meiko’s haunting rendition of “Zombie” serves as a beautiful tribute to the singer and the music of the Cranberries." - HardRock.com “There’s something about the sound of Meiko’s voice on this recording, I can’t get enough of it." — Steve Guttenberg, audio writer "This album combines fantastic sound quality with superb song selection!" - Chris Connaker, Computer Audiophile “Meiko takes the bubbly, heart-fluttering pop tune and puts a dramatic edge on it, brimming with reverb that make the singer’s passionate vocals alluringly eerie." - Billboard "a haunting, acoustic version of dance floor staple “Super Freak.” - KCRW "We were first introduced to Meiko on the Guitar Center Sessions in December of 2012 and have been fans ever since." - Guitar Girl Magazine "Reinventing a bunch of songs you were used to hearing performed a particular way." - The Hype Magazine On this album, the perfect microphone, recording space, and vocal performance are in perfect alignment. Long known for her seductively haunting voice, singer/songwriter Meiko makes her first exploration of the songs of others on her new full-length album, Playing Favorites. The album, which label Co-Founder, David Chesky, assures "may be our best sounding vocal album ever recorded", features songs made immortal by luminaries including The Cranberries, Otis Redding, Erykah Badu, Duran Duran, Blind Melon, and even Rick James (among many others), Meiko leaves her own indelible mark on songs that will have you hearing them as if it were the first time. "I've always wanted to record these songs, and thought it would be cool to make a record of all of them in one go. I chose these tracks because I've loved them for years. Some of these songs have gotten me through some hard times. Quintessential songs that are always playing in my head...or [in my] car." Part of the Chesky Binaural+ Series, all recorded with a single binaural microphone in a decommissioned church in Brooklyn, the band appears right before you with this spacious, lush and multi-dimensional recording. These new albums capture even more spatial realism for the listener, bringing you one step closer to the actual event. You will hear some of the most natural and pure music ever recorded. "It was really interesting recording the way we did because...I was able to hear all the nuances. Every breath and foot tap. It was a very intimate setup that caught every little thing which makes the listener feel like they're right there and I'm singing to them." Meiko has built a loyal following since her wildly successful self titled release in 2007, along with subsequent releases The Bright Side, Dear You, Lovers & Fighters, Live Songs from The Hotel Cafe, and Moving Day. Her albums have spawned the hits "Boys With Girlfriends", "Stuck on You", "Leave the Lights On", and have been featured in TV shows including Grey's Anatomy, One Tree Hill, and The Vampire Diaries (among others). "I'm really excited for people to hear these songs the way they're recorded because I often have people tell me they wish I'd record more live material. There's something about 'the real' of singing live -- the real parts that get lost in the recording process because of all the fixes that happen in the studio. It's real life, and I hope people appreciate that part of it. There's a magic to it." The first song from the album to reach listeners was "Zombie", penned by the late Dolores O'Riordan. With the album having been recorded in September of 2017, the unfortunate and untimely passing of O'Riordan prompted the single to be released in advance of the album in tribute in late January 2018. Described as a "haunting rendition" by HardRock.com, the track sets the scene for the newest singles, "Crush", made famous by 90's star Jennifer Paige, and a refreshing re-imagining of Rick James' "Super Freak", that will forever change the way you hear the song. 5. Users Get 25% Off Put A Spell On You from Casey Abrams on HDtracks With Code CPUCASEY Get 25% off Already Specially Reduced Price! "Includes fun selections." - Variety "Great music, that is light and airy, we all need more of that, right?" - Staccatofy "The new music showcases the spacious, lush, and multi-dimensional recording." - Twin Cities Media The album showcases both Abrams frenetic energy, as well as the unique nature of his creativity as a songwriter and performer. Songs include the originals “Let’s Make Out,” “Robot Lovers,” and “Cougartown” as well as his compelling takes on a few classics such as “I Put a Spell on You,” “Georgia on My Mind,” and “Nature Boy.” Abrams explains the album, “I wanted to put a spell on the audience with the new record,” he affirms. “I’m mixing a lot of covers that fans have heard live with originals that they’ve never heard before. It’s been fun to write songs about the new and cover things that are old. No matter what though, everything should put you in that kind of wonderful trance.” Last Fall Abrams retreated to a decommissioned church in Brooklyn (The Hirsch Center) to track Put A Spell On You. During a two-day marathon session, he was joined by the members of his trio—Jacob Scesney [saxophone, cajón] and Taylor Tesler [guitar, vocals]—David Chesky in the producer’s chair, and a “mannequin microphone.” Put A Spell On You is a part of the Chesky Binaural + Series, all recorded with a single microphone. The new music showcases the spacious, lush and multi-dimensional recording. “The church was amazing,” Abrams adds. “There was a natural reverb that you can’t get digitally. We recorded using this mannequin with microphones in it. You’re singing to this thing like an audience member and getting real stereoscopic sound. As time progressed, my sound has gotten more live and dirty. It’s more like you’re sitting in my living room now. It’s very spontaneous and rugged. That’s the beauty of this.” All around musical wunderkind, Casey Abrams, has built a strong following through the years with two album releases (Casey Abrams and Tales From the Gingerbread House). Casey spent the last year touring internationally as part of the renowned collective Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox between launching his own nine-piece “funk orchestra” via select FunkHaus gigs. Part of the Chesky Binaural + Series, all recorded with a single microphone, the band appears right before you with this spacious, lush and multi-dimensional recording. "Right from the start Chesky Records had a sound. David Chesky set out to make “aural photographs” of each session, capturing as much of the sound of being there as the technology allowed, continually pushing it forward. Every note of every session was recorded “live,” there were no overdubs, no fixing it in the mix. What went down at the session, with some of the world’s greatest musicians, was in the CD, LP, or later on, high-resolution digital download. Chesky mostly recorded in great sounding acoustic spaces, namely churches and concert halls, with the earliest sessions conducted in the legendary, and sorely missed, RCA/BMG studios in midtown Manhattan. Every session presented unique challenges, but David Chesky and his engineers, first Bob Katz, then Miguel Kertsman, Barry Wolifson, and for the last decade or so, Nicholas Prout, continued to advance the state of the recording art. We hope you enjoy the music as much as we did recording it!" - Steve Guttenberg CHESKY WEBSITE | SIGN UP FOR CHESKY NEWSLETTER

Over the top is ‘that’ voice, which was always (at least on the evidence of this) destined to be comfortable and (probably more importantly) authentic within Jazz. It’s so authentic, you can almost smell the tobacco stained late night club. Brilliant stuff." - Jim, Backseat Mafia "This album comes to life in a pair of headphones." -Allie Martin, Black Grooves "Macy Gray Is Back and Better Than Ever" - Elias Leight, Vogue "This record showcases Macy Gray in what might be her bona fide persona. Gray is a throwback to the early days when jazz singers were not pretentious, but had to rely on their innate talent to carry the tune with raw emotion and sensual grace. LAVERNE BUTLER Since her move to New York in 1984, LaVerne has toured Europe and Asia many times as a featured vocalist for various festivals and club dates including France, Denmark, Finland, England and Japan. With each musical experience, LaVerne began to shape and mold her own personal style. In 1992, LaVerne signed her first record deal with Chesky Records in New York City. And in 1993 she released her first solo jazz album, titled No Looking Back, which is, according to Jazziz Magazine, "a bebopper's delight." However with her second release, Day Dreamin, LaVerne was able to explore another jazz 'sound' which she credits to such singers as Nancy Wilson. "Nancy is probably my biggest influence to date." But LaVerne insists she does not tend to become typecast. "Jazz is what I do best, and it is what I love to do. But I believe it can also vary in sound, mood and most importantly, in musical approach. I have so much music I want to compose and record. If I can create my own unique style by writing and singing fresh material, then it's just another feather in my cap." LOUISE ROGERS Chesky recording artist Louise Rogers has a voice that has been described as “pure and incandescent, free of affectation or obvious influence.” (Christopher Loudon, Jazz Times). Ms. Rogers moved from N.H. to NYC in 1997 and has been active in the jazz scene since her arrival. A published author, she is a leader in the field of jazz education. Nat Hentoff has praised her work as "the most joyously encouraging way of expanding the audience for jazz". Along with her new release on Chesky Records, Black Coffee, which was in Grammy consideration, Louise has previously released 4 CDs on her own label, RILO: Come Ready and See Me and Bass-ically Speaking; 2 jazz CDs for children – Bop Boo Day and Jazzy Fairy Tales.
