  1. Thanks I really appreciate your input. The benefit I see in the ETH interface, is to be able put all computer stuff outside the listening room.
  2. I would be interested if you could elaborate on that. Is it a matter of price or SQ? thanks
  3. I may give a try, thanks for confirming the nice results with Martin Logan
  4. What a super article. In the introduction you refer to electroacoustic speakers. I run a pair of Martin Logan electrostatic speakers. Shall I expect the same improvement level?
  5. Maybe you have discovered the solution since that time - BubleUpnp server (create an open home renderer) - Kazoo app (Linn). I stream both jRiver and Qobuz with the same app Works like a charm (both apps are free)
  6. @The Computer Audiophile 1/ Synology is about to market its cloud solution named Synology C2 at 0,005/GB/y usd 2/ buy a second NAS and replicate the main one. If possible set it up offsite. Toshiba N300 8TB is priced 280 usd. Put two of them in a new unit you don't even need to power up the backup NAS 24/7.
  7. Well I'm running iOS RD client with great satisfaction that is remotely connected to my Windows 10 HTPC when there is no native client app to be used as a remote control which is the case for Qobuz for instance. I must say that the user experience is excellent. And RD client is free of charge. I really don't quite see the usefulness of Duet which price tag is quite high for that kind of software I think.
  8. Do I understand correctly that the iOS device has to be physically connected to a PC with a cable? If yes, I do not really see the added value of such a product.
  9. Thanks bubba. How do you currently feed-in these speakers?
  10. Thanks bunno77. I will now chase a place where I can taste the 200XD in good conditions.
  11. All my music is played by jRiver in the main room (HTPC + NAS). I'd like to stream music to a second room that is quite distant from the main one. All is wired with 1Gb Ethernet. I'm not very much in favor of the dynaudio connect box. I would rather use Aries mini box. Can someone tell me if it is a correct approach and if Aries mini digital output would connect directly to the speaker digital input? Thank you
  12. When I feel my contribution to a blog will require a bit of typing I always use an external editor so I'm sure not to loose my work. So please write your contribution, we'd like to share your thoughts.
  13. This only thing I do without the heatsink is to make sure I get POST before everything is mounted in the case. You could easily go above the allowed temp without the heatsink
  14. It is an outstanding piece of equipment. Everything is well packaged and documented. I had the first production batch and as such minor problems arose. The supplier has been very reactive to provide two missing parts and one modified part.
  15. I have the same H5 case, with the PSU as you do. Have you sorted out the issue? Have you carefully checked the contacts of the sockect. My first Mobo had major socket defects and I had to return it in order to get a new one
