  1. @Nexus3 and @Dick Darlington - all I can say is WOW - you guys are the BEST. I used the new 6700 script (above) following the directions posted elsewhere in this thread, along with ISO2DSD and I just ripped my first SACD. The process just works now! No TELNET or any other software. If you are using a Sony 6500 or 6700 I HIGHLY recommend this approach! Again, kudos and many thanks! Bob
  2. Hello Everyone - I have spent hours perusing this thread in hopes of using a newly-acquired (used) Sony BDP-S6500 to rip my SACDs. I am using a Win10 machine. My BDP-S6500 is running v M26.R.0222 firmware. I have done most steps, i.e.: I have an 8 GB USB2 thumb drive formatted to FAT32 I have loaded AutoScript with the 3 files in the root directory of the USB stick I have downloaded ISO2DSD to my PC to do the rips Am I missing something? I am just technical enough to want to try this, without really knowing what I am doing :). Here is my issue (I think) - I have no idea how to apply patch "a" to the sacd_extract_160 file, so that I can use the BDP-S6500 to do the rips. Is there a way of doing this using the command line interface in Windows? What do I need to do? I am sorry to be adding such a noob question at this point - I just can't seem to get to the next step. Thanks in advance for any help. Bob This is what I see in ISO2DSD:
  3. Do what was your reason for upgrading to the Brooklyn +? Were you unhappy with the sound of the Brooklyn?
  4. Thanks much for posting the photos so quickly, jtwrace and rayl1234. Moving the dot to the left of the MQA indicator is just weird.
  5. Any chance of getting one of you guys to post a photo of how the other main display (i.e. the one that shows large view of bitrate, sample rate and volume) looks with the 2.36 firmware installed? TIA!
  6. Thanks for the comment. Good to know that someone else out there feels the same way I do. I have no idea what Schiit is thinking.
  7. I think the Aries Mini sounds better than using the iPhone with a DAC. Sound is cleaner and more detailed.
  8. Just added my +1. For the naysayers - it seems as though @MrWicked is making progress - his latest blog entry is only a few weeks old - check it out at sacd-ripper
