  1. Okay great thanks will get that. What's a good external hard drive to get?
  2. Hello Paul thanks for the details. I asked as I have a 5K retina lying around and I don't mind buying a Mac mini if it makes more sense? Else would rather put that amount in more storage. I I only use the 5K for browsing and mails at the moment would that make a difference to the sound and if yes I would certainly get the mini thanks
  3. Hello Paul Thanks oh I already have the 5K iMac that's the reason I asked if I would be using it in the same room would it be better to use the 5K or just get the mini. How would the mini display look on a 4K Samsung 55" TV? Also fidelity wise would the mini sound better?
  4. Hello thanks for the information the Mac mini will be with a fission drive. I am in India and they don't do custom macs here so my options are to get the 8GB Mac with the 1TB fusion drive. Also what hard drive would you suggest ? Anything in particular as for the transfer speeds? If I may ask why not just use the 5K as what extra benefit would the Mac mini give over the 5K retina Mac. Sorry I am new to this thus asking Thanks
  5. Hello Thanks for the advice I have a 5K Retina Mac. I would wondering if a separate new 2014 1tb fusion drive Mac mini with and external 4 TB hard driver would be a good option? Would iTunes be the best for toppings CDs? I am going to connect it to a musical fidelity dac I use b&w 804 speakers and theta digital amps
  6. Hello Which would be a good Cd ripping software. I would like the lossless quality and I have about 3000's CD Would 4TB be okay? Thanks
  7. Hello all. I have about 3000 audio Cd's I am using a musical fidelity DAC - Bowers and wilkins 804's with a theta digital amps. I would like to put all my cd's on the hard drive. First which would be the best to go for my budget for a hard drive is $ 1000 to $ 1500 i would like a fast one. The other than this I have a 5K iMac should I just use that as my server? Connect the hard drive to that or would it be better to get a mac mini top of the line from the store that is the 1TB fusion drive model. Both of them are in the same room and would be no less that 10 feet from each other My thoughts would be to use the 5K iMac and use the $$$ for a NAS? what would you guys suggest. The other thing holding me back is that the mac mini can just crunch 30hz on 4k and I would be connection it to a samsung 4K curved 55" TV Thanks I am really new to getting the computer involved wit the audio so please be gentle
