I've just got myself a Bel Canto uLink for a good price ex-demo. The mLink is discontinued and was only capable of 24/96. The uLink is 24/192 compatible. Will get short USB and digital cables. Will post my impression when received.

Dear All, Newbie here. I have bought a Mac Mini to act as a music server with a NAS (eventually). Trouble is, my Bel Canto DAC 3 only accepts a maximum 16/48 on its USB connection, though 24/192 on S/PDIF, AES/BSU and optical. Question, should I use an optical cable from Mac to DAC (cheap) or a USB to S/PDIF converter (could be very expensive)? Any advice appreciated.
