  1. Hello dear cAfriends! I don' t see a presentation thread so here we are! I' am bruno and this is my first post! Like object title, i need an advice for my system: my target is listening HQ Audio files with Senheiser HD650 piloted by A class amplifier (TUBE). My source files are all masters remastered at 24bit/192khz, so jazz music, play with: 1. MacBook Pro 2008 with 24bit/96khz and optical output 2. Ipad Air (i don' t know D/A Apple is not clear about it) . I googled some solutions: 1. Add an external DAC like MERIDIAN EXPLORER 2 (USB DAC @ 24/192) and BRAVO v2 (amplifier is perfect with modding) for my Senheiser HD650. Cons: two stage amplification off board 2. Use a Grant Fidelity TubeDAC-11 D/A Converter: usb input @ 24/96 and optical input @24/192 output: tube line out Note1: I should attach my headphones using an RCA to 6.5mm jack adapter to connect headphones to rear tube out and it only work properly with headphones with impedance over 300 ohm... ( mine Sen HD650 is 300 ohm) Note2: using optical output from my MBP i suppose files are moving out sampled at 24/96.. so i loss quality... and MEX2 would be a better solution keeping 192khz sample frequency Now i don t know a lots about frequency, matching impedence, which specs have integrated chips the system use... So now what do you think is the best solution to achieve the best listening over headphones? Other important notes are: Yes, the first DAC is better for his mobility, but i don t care SEnHD650 are not good for mobility. In both amplifier, i can replace the tube. In the future i will replace my MBP with a new rMBP which supports 24/192 output, so i can use optical cable directly to the GF DAC. Loudspeaker would be a future listening options. The price is more or less the same in both case. Now i have the possibility to import from USA all the product i described so please help me in decision so i can do shopping. THANK YOU to everyone who can help me.
