  1. Just wanted to give a big thanks to Miska and Geoff for drastically changing my audio world!!! Not sure how to put it exactly but Tidal with HQplayer is from an entirely different universe than TIDAL in any other form. Like others I messed with Jriver, Pure Music, and Audirvana first because to put it simply they were easier for a beginner. But I persevered and now am experimenting with the different filters in HQplayer and I can say without a doubt no other player comes close regardless of hardware. This isn't a "my app is better than yours" post, this is an audible fact. I have been buying and returning headphones and DACs based on Audirvana (which is a fine player) but is simply not in the same league as HQplayer. HQplayer sounds like you've changed everything...your DAC your headphones and your cables. It is amazing. I am not affiliated with HQplayer in any way but truthfully its a choice between many different midfi experiences vs a hifi experience. Tidal to HQplayer and upsampled to DSD then through Audeze LCD-2's is mind boggling. You guys (Miska and Geoff) took a $20/month service and made it worth $200/month. I truly am not trolling or looking to start a debate but for anyone that has spent a bit of money on DACs and headphones just try HQplayer. Give it a month, try the different filters, and get a DAC that can really do DSD (im partial to iFi micro iDSD). After this I promise you you will find an audio gift that is hard to put into words and will sound like a different system altogether. I almost feel like all the DACs and phones I've gone through all deserve another shot with HQplayer and proper upsampling. I was one of the people who thought upsampling was a gimmick but all I can say is if you doubt, just try it. The program has a trial period and its plenty long enough to find out the truth. Btw for convenience my fix for the kodi addon delays/reload is to make all my TIDAL playlists less than 35 minutes. I end up with more playlists but 35 minutes is a good amount of time to take a break, get something to drink, and fire up the next playlist of awesome sound. It sounds like with all the changes afoot this wont be necessary for much longer. Either way this technology is truly a gift and I thank you Miska and Geoff for your efforts.
