I wasn't able to find any info on this question and I hope I found the correct forum. I have a Luxman D-100R ipod doc with a built in DAC, which sounds pretty good. Since the doc is able to extract the digital audio from the ipod and convert it to analog, could I use a 30 pin to usb converter cable to enable me to connect my Macbook Air to the Luxman doc? In other word, can I use the Luxman doc as a DAC with my Mac?
I have looked around for connectors, but I am unable to find a single cable solution. I can find 30 pin female to lightning or micro usb, but not 30 pin female to regular usb. I can convert the usb mini to regular usb, but I wanted to hear from other folks to see if this is possible.
