  1. Cycleman. I'm using the Regen with the Luxman Dac, aurender N100H as server. Wonder if you could elaborate on sonic differences between USB vs SPDIF inputs on the luxman. In my system, The luxman can sound clear and a bit "lean" or "thin" on much material. I'm contemplating the Berkely converter, which you are apparently using, to try the SPDIF inputs. My old digital is the Accuphase DP 75V - 15 years old, yet still wonderfull - tonally rich and highly musical. The luxman is "better" in audiophile terms, in that it is clearer, more accurate, phenomenal separation of instrumental lines, wider soundstate etc, yet at the price of loosing tonal richness and some musicality. Wonder if you experienced a "fuller" or "richer" sound thru the SPDIF inputs? Sorry if a bit off topic.
  2. The software seems a little twitchy, but generally works. Overall, lovi g both the SQ and convenience of the N100H. Running it to the luxman Da-06. I ordered the USB regen, though not sure if ne essary withe the aurender
  3. I think k your dealer may be mis-informed. Perhaps AMM is unnecessary on the X100 for cover art, not sure. When i demo'd the N100 at my dealer, conductor app only showed folders, since the dealer did not have a mac to set up AMM. That was my experience as well, until I got a copy of the AMM beta for PC.
  4. I've been setting up the N100H on a windows machine for the past few days, and just installed the AMM software for PC (beta). While I have a NAS (synology), I'm only storing music files on the second hard drive on the N100. Transfer of music files was done by drag and drop through windows explorer, from my laptop to the aurender drive (which is listed as its own "NAS drive" in the network map). The ipad app (Conductor) works fine, but you are limited to "folder view" only - no album covers and incomplete metadata. To get album covers, one must use AMM - even if all the files are on the Aurender drive (ie, not on external NAS). AMM creates a data base of the covers/metadata, which is then uploaded to the Aurender through the network. Once done, the ipad app must re-scan the aurender to reconstitue the data base, and full functionality (covers) is possible. The AMM must be run each time additional music files are copied to the Aurender drive if you want album covers. Hope this suffices
