  1. Hi everyone I have an AyreQB9 DSD and want to update it to Twenty version. I have read your impressions about the sound and everyone says that it sounds better (more depth, more cleanliness, more definition, more detail) but I have not read much about other parameters such as dynamics, ¿does the sound gain in dynamics too? I have an Antipodes CX (pass from Mac Air + Uptone Regen Amber + Sbooster) to Antipodes. I keep the Regen, do you think it can improve in the Antipodes). I can't prove it because I left it to a friend Thank you
  2. I have gone from using a Macbook Air PC with Uptone Regen and DAC Ayre QB9 DSD to use the same DAC but with an Antipodes CX server ¿Do you think it makes sense to continue using the Uptone Regen with a server? Thank you

I'm going to try it some recommended configuration for Ayre QB9 DSD
  4. I'm not being critical with the use of software with Mac in my case, I've been using it with Audirvana for 4 years (Macbook Air + Uptone + Ayre qB9 DSD). I decided to try Amarra after the numerous favorable reviews about his SQ but, in my opinion, it does not make sense how many errors the software has. Having to load playlists and similar things that I've read seems to me very unserious. Just as I bought the Audirvana license I would buy the one from Amarra if it worked with stability and had a useful remote application I have no allergy to the computer, Aurender, Innuos, etc are PCs dedicated to play audio but they are PC in essence. I also do not use EQ, I think the audio signal better the more direct. I also do not use upsampling (I think the Ayre QB9 DSD works better as well) As for talking about the SQ of a software, does it make sense? Does a software have to have SQ? Should not I just manage the library and send it to the DAC? I would only ask the Amarra developers to make their program more attractive, stable and reliable Excuse my bad English
  5. Right now I feel that Audirvana is light years away from Amarra, both in control of the library, in stability, in remote control and ... also in sound! Fortunately everyone chooses his way The next step is an Aurender, Lumin, Innuos .... I will seek the Audio Cocktail
  6. I have a license from Audirvana. With as much positive criticism of the SQ as the trial version of Amarra. It has lasted on my Macbook Air 3 days, I have not supported it anymore. I did a test with 30 disks loaded on an SD card so it would not spoil my library. With only 30 discs already has errors. I have uninstalled it for these reasons: 1. Errors in the library, messy songs, unrecognized discs 2. The Remote does not work, connect when you want. Many times it does not connect and it is unusable 3. Aspect of the 80s, unfit for these times (if you compare the remote with JRemote ...) 4. Slow, unstable, has been hung in such a short space of time 5. At this point you can not disassociate from Itunes? I do not have iTunes installed but a library of only 30 discs has found me errors As for the SQ I do not see that the sea is superior to Audirvana, I do not see the difference that is so much discussed at least in my system Conclusion: I will not invest in a failed system, I prefer to buy a JRiver license 24
  7. Hello I have tested with hard disks (a hard drive connected to USB without AC compared to a hard drive that carries AC) and it seems that the hard drive that carries AC sounds better The tests have been done with a Macbook Air and Audirvana Can someone contribute something?
  8. I am using Audirvana with SOX and when I try another previous version of Audirvana that does not support SOX no selected converter (neither Core Audio nor Izotope) does that mean that the data reaches the Dac without going through the Converter?
  9. Hello, Audirvana has SysOptimizer to shut down MAC processes that negatively influence music (we all know). These processes are: Disable Spotlight Disable Time Machine Disable Detection of Devices on USB So far, after opening Audirvana, I execute a Script of Tie that closes these processes: Disable All Disable Termination Daemon Disable Sleep Mode Disable Hibernate Disable Mission Control Disable Time Machine Disable Spotlight Disable Launch Control Disable Dashboard Disable Notification Center Disable NapApp I have noticed that if I do not execute the Mooring Script the sound is different ... could it be that with the SysOptimizer is enough? Thanks
  10. With previous versions did not happen. The entire library has doubled. What do I have to do?
  11. Hello, I'm testing version 3.0 of Audirvana and I've seen that I completely duplicate all the songs in my library ¿does anyone know what's due? I use a Macbook Air with Mavericks

    Audirvana Plus 2.6

Use Audirvana 2.3.2. I wanted to install the Beta but it asks me to migrate the library. Can I have the versions installed? How to do it? So far I had 2 versions to compare but I had not asked to migrate the library (is the same as happened from version 1.5 to 2)
  13. Thank you, request. It's a shame that the plugin does not work properly with Audirvana

    Audirvana Plus 2.6

Dirac Live 1.2 is a plugin. I select as output device "Dirac Live" (Mavericks recognizes it) instead of my DAC. It works perfectly, the problem happens with the change of resolution You do a great job, this is not the most important thing although it is a shame since the Dirac Plugin is an improvement more
