Hi and thanks for reply! I know about the the purpose and cleaning of USB signal while giving it clean 5v supply. Here how it is: while connected to iFI iDSD nano I can take either digital signal (SPDIF) or analog signal out of RCAs. It seems dead when trying to connect: - to singxer Su-1 - Denafrips DAC - Pro-Ject D2 Pre S2 I wonder about benefits in using it with microRendu, too (if possible). Thanks in advance

Hi fellows, I have one spare iFi iUSB Power unit somewhere collecting dust and haven’t been using it for quite some time. There is also one iFi Gemini two-headed cable around with it. Are these items totally anachronous or they can be put in use by any chance?I remember using some with Audiophilleo 2 and they sounded awesome! That was long time ago when I used to have MHDT Stockholm DAC. Now I can’t seem to use it with any sort of equipment with exception of iFi DSD Nano. Right now my setup is very complex and includes Iggy ana 1, Denafrips Pontus and Roon endpoint on advanced and upgraded Mac mini. Any my comment is welcome.

Why not try Exposure XM7 pre or even HD if headphone amping is important? As far as I remember they should be Wolfson DACs.

Today was a heavy day for me. I was trying heavily to get microRendu system work for me but it finally failed, at least on the latest 2.5 OS version where it basically failed to be recognized by all used apps (Squeezelite, Roon as well as MDP/DLA which has not been in function from the 1st run of new 2.5 software). Just to check out if something is wrong with the microRendu I installed LMS on microRendu, started it up with internet radio and got sure everything was fine with my unit. I decided to go down and pull out the new microSD card with 2.5 software and put back the older 2.3 OS. Guess what!! Everything started work flawlessly! I'm not some newbie in these software and hardware issues and before I did this I've reinstalled apps, rebooted system couple of times, have updated system 2.5. Nothing helped! Symtoms were following: - MPD/DLNA: when active, not possible to find player on Linn Kazoo (which is saying that that it "looks for rooms...") - Squeezlite: gone of into "stopped" or couple of times even in "unknown" position in app swicher - Roon Ready: not been possible to find mR in Roon software on MacOS (not even after updating one) Have I been missing something? Thanks for replies...
