Trying to use the Lumin App to control playback to a DCS Rossini. I have local network playback running, but cannot get Tidal working. Current setup is Synology NAS, Minim Server, BubbleUPnP Server. I can browse Tidal, so the login process is OK. When I go to play a song, it just sits at "0" seconds and nothing starts. Can go back to a local network file and it will play just fine. Trying to determine if I have overlooked something in the setup, or perhaps the DCS just not compatible (does the same with Linn Kazoo) Thanks, Jimmy

My Auralic Mini Update: Received my replacement unit and it has been streaming since 7pm last night. So far so good. I noted that this unit already had the updated firmware installed, where as my original unit required a FW update out of the box. Fingers crossed that this one will be a winner. Once I know it works, will also bring it down to the main system and do an A/B against my Aurender N100H. Cheers, Jimmy

Hi Dave, I tried both ways, and had the same issue. I was using asset UPNP, which works into the previous streaming source (Marantz CR603). The same server box also feeds an Aurender N100h in my main system and I have had zero issues with that setup. I'm guessing I just got the "magic one" box. Talked with the dealer I purchased from and they will send out a new one when they receive more stock and take this one back. Cheers, Jimmy

Didn't get much of a chance to sit down and listen critically, since I was spending most of my time debugging. It was to be used in my living room setup which is KEF LS50's with a PrimaLuna Prolouge Premium Integrated and a Auralic Taurus MKII w\ Mr. Speaker Ethers. I was using the built in DAC, and out of the box it sounded good through both systems. A definite improvement over the Marantz CR603 I was using as my streaming source.

Music playback continues to freeze using UPnP, so the Lightning Server appears no to be the issue. I loaded 5 songs on a USB stick and tired playing from it to remove any network (wired/wireless) interaction for playback and the unit will still freeze. I'm done with it. Its going back.

I just started another test: Switching music library from the Lightning Server to Asset UPnP. Will see if that makes any difference.

That is not good news. I wanted a streaming device, not something that requires local storage to function properly.

Unfortunately, I think my unit is going back. I have it setup using the lightning server with the music residing on my WHS V2 box, and initially was streaming via wireless. After a couple days of music playback without issue, music playback would suddenly stop after about an hour. Tried via internet radio (to see if WHS was the issue) and experienced the same thing. Moved to my PC so I could get a wired connection (to see if wireless was issue) and still get it to lock up after about an hour. Once its locked up, if you select a track it will start, then immediately stop. Have to cycle power on the unit to get it to work right again. Tired to re-setup via the hold the center and left buttons, but still locks up. Disappointed as this little box would be a great all-in-one solution for the living room setup. Note, I also have a Aurender N100H in my main system via the same WHS V2/Network and have had zero issue with 24/7 playback, so I'm pretty certain I have the issue narrowed down the the Mini itself. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears before it goes back. Thanks, Jimmy
