I'm not sure my case is related I had crackling only while using wifi as soon as I went hard drive directly to Aries problem disappeared

This is email from Chris Morris that works for Auralic here US regarding crackling As for the clicking. This is a firmware problem we pushed the boundaries to far for the USB protocol for some systems. People with Aries and Vega using the USB cable that came with the Vega are ok. But some Audiophile cables have had an issue with this firmware. So were going to back off what were doing with the protocol and get a new firmware out this week.

How do u add new content u disconnect it every time to transfer files from your computer ?

Scanning completed all songs that I played before seem like crackling free now nice and clear sound Thank you guys I bought Aries mostly for using it with hard drive connected directly to it so not able to stream it's not a the end of the world for me however will look into my wifi and try to find a reason thanks again

Like I said its my first day still trying to get a feel here I just click first song on an album and by the end of the track Aries stops playing The cracking part that's what worries me more but I'll try to connect hard drive directly to Aries we will see what happens thank you

I bought Aries LE couple weeks ago first unit was defective but Auralic shipped replacement within few days New one came on sat so today i decided to finally set it up After some initial troubles i was able to get it going I have 2tb external hard drive connected to my pc Minimserver on pc Ipad with LDS netgear r6700 router while im able to play music there is a crackling sound on some of the tracks(could be more i listened only for a hour or so) also when i select the album im only able to play one song at a time unless i select next one myself Aries does not continue to play tracks in order so when i select track myself Aries just keeps adding them to the Queue option This is my first day with this unit im probably doing something wrong but the crackling noise really worries me Please advise
