  1. Which Asus mini vivo did you get? How big is your collection?
  2. I am looking at buying a SMS-200 NEO... Do I need a core too, or does this include everything needed for Roon except a license?
  3. Have you considered building a NAS? Once you have a small NAS you can add whatever HDDs you need, and then a NUC would work out fine IMO. I just picked up a i5 ASUS ViviMini for $207 on closeout, and that will me my HA Server, ripping, and general all around PC. If you don't want a NAS...how about getting a USB drive and hooking it up to your PC or even to your router?
  4. Thanks for the info...Is this a foobar product or a sacd one?I would like to try this and see if it eliminates my pops.
  5. The friend that ripped them from a PS3 ripped my discs and returned them to me...now I have lost contact with them, so I don't have a way to find out how they did it. I play the DSF files on a Kodi box, and also on JRiver with the same results. My other friend has taken the files to his house and experienced the same results as I have. I read somewhere that it was claimed that the ISO2DSD software had a bug, but I have not seen anything to confirm this other than I do have the problem with my ISO2DSD conversion. Originally I had thought it was my Yamaha CXA-5100 preamp having problems with the tracks, but when my friend tried them on his Denon rig he experienced the same issues. I could always just listen to the ISOs on my NAS, but I don't always like to listen to the whole Album at once, and I like to be able to jump to the tracks I want to listen to, or have them randomly sorted between my albums.
  6. It has happened on every SACD that I have ripped to an ISO. My friend even tried the ISOs on his setup and they played flawlessly, but as soon as they are converted to individual DSF file the pops come back. If i play one track it is fine, but when the next track starts it pops. I had a few SACDs ripped to DSF files previously that were done by a friend, and they were done on a PS3...they play flawlessly too. I read somewhere that the fix is to run every track through some software to eliminate the pops, but I don't understand why they do this on my setup, but not when others rip them on a PS3. I don't have another player that is compatible with the SACD extractor.
  7. I use the Pioneer BDP-80Fd, and it will rip SACDs to ISOs without any problems. My problem is that when I try to break the ISO down to individual DSF tracks with iso2DSD GUI I get pops between the tracks. The pops are not there on the ISO. I have tried ripping to RAW ISO, and also straight to DSF, and the results are the same.
  8. I am having a problem playing DSF files through my Yamaha CX-A5100 via Kodi via UnRaid. Whenever I play a ripped SACD I get a sound between the tracks that sounds like you just dropped the stylus on a record. I know it has to be the Yamaha as my other 2 rooms do not get the same problem, and both of them are using Kodi via Unraid. Is there a setting in the 5100 that could be causing this problem?
  9. Have you tried the command prompt window? That is how I did it in Windows 7.
  10. I think the last SACD I ripped with the Pioneer BDP-80fd was around 2.5Mb/s across my LAN.
  11. The copy I have only has one disc. I will try it again with the AV disabled. Pioneer BDP-80FD
  12. No...from Oppo,only the Oppo 103, and 105 will work.
  13. I have only ripped the MCH with the Pioneer. I have Jazz at the Pawnshop Vol 1, Proprius PRSACD7778, Surround Sound 4.0. I ripped it to ISO, and then used Sonore ISO2DSD. This was done with the Pioneer BDP-80FD.
