I use multiple players and an Ayre QB-9DSD DAC. Amarra and Puremusic will play the DSD128 (5.6MHz) file, but Decibel will not. The file will load and the ticker will move as if something should be playing, but no sound is generated by my system. I'm wondering if Amarra, PureMusic, and JRiver are somehow downsampling or using a different conversion mechanism to enable the DSD128 playback given that it's possible the QB-9 is simply unable to support DSD128 files. All of the players seem to play the DSD64 (2.8MHz) files fine. Does anyone know if the QB-9 is capbable of playing DSD128 files or what the issue here could be?
