  1. Hi all, I've just got the SoTM and found that a Teradak 9V was sitting gathering dust, so I've decided to try it with SoTM since the 9V spec is on target. I understand (correct me if I am wrong) that S0TM need something around 1,5A and the PSU should output a little less than 1A. Provided that my figures are correct, what kind of symptoms/woes could I have if the NAA was under powered (lower Amperes)?
  2. My previous set-up was Intel Nuc I5 connected to the dac (RME ADI DAC2) and with Roon Rock running; I've moved the NUC away form the dac and bought a SoTM SMS200: this move changed everything in terms of pure quality and listening pure pleasure; I'd say go for the SoTM!
  3. hi photon, the dac has already been upgraded to the latest firmware (2.12)
  4. in Tidal app dac is selected but the output reverts back to system contorlled by itself
  5. Hi, I'd check the LAN structure for IP conflicts.. I had the same problem with a SoTM losing connection with ROON just to find that the AV Amplifier had the same IP...
  6. Hi all, I am trying to help a friend of mine with this kind of set-up and problem: MacBook with latest MacOs updates, Tidal app and Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 digital a a Dac/headphone amplifier; the problem is that Macos overrides any Tidal app set-up (exclusive mode forced volume and MQA passthrough) and as soon as a track starts playing, reverts to internal speakers output. In the Midi section DAC is the preferred output. I'm trying to understand where the woe is, Is there some settings that I am missing? Thanks in advance!
  7. No problem and thank you for the reply. Actually I was wondering exactly if drivers could affect negatively my set up but I am also eager to know if the same set up could earn improvements.
  8. Hi all, I'm a long-time lurker but now I do need your much appreciated help. I'm looking into buying a Regen, along with a Jitterbug already on its way, and I'd like to know if Regen could be used between my PC (reading files from a synology nas via Jriver 20) and a Yamaha Cd-s2100 used as a USB DAC. could the fact that the yammy uses asio-steinberg drivers to work have impact of any sort? BTW Alex from Uptone took time to quickly answer my emails and I found him to be a very nice guy to talk to.. Thank you in advance!
  9. bloodwound, thanks for help. Sadly, Kipeta is on a long vacation, AFAIK, and I guess I won't have anyhelp anytime soon from him.. I think I'll have to wait for someone's help since my coding skills equal my flying skills...
  10. hi, yes, dop is ticked..I guess problem is the custom usb chipset (btw, Yamaha sent me those specs:"IC401 USB Device controller IC SSP2 UPD80050F1-011") that needs asio/steinberg. it works flawlessy with jriver and foobar but not with daphile, alas!
  11. Hi all, I've been struggling in connecting a daphile pc with my DSD capable Yamaha cd-s2100, which uses steinberg asio drivers. Normal flac are played without a hitch up to 192/24, but dsd are not. I guess, and somewhere else Ive been told so, that is a problem linked to asio drivers not implemented in current Daphile release. Is this statement correct? Is there anything that I can do, beside reverting to foobar? I like Daphile very much and I'd like to use it... thank you in advance!
