Ok, So Tidal doesn't look like it's going to happen. HOW ABOUT DEEZER SONY! It's advertised for other sony products. https://www.deezer.com/en/devices/soundsystems Anyone know how we can get messages to anyone who could actually address this at Sony? Ridiculous no hi-res streaming capability.

They support Spotify. It’s really just hi res that they lack. I don’t think that market is even as big. Heck if Spotify would hurry up with hi res that would be fine also.

Sony.. please... Tidal, Deezer... still really like this unit, just want the ability to stream hi-res. I'll pay for it.

Bingo. So while of course I have all of my CD's ripped to the HAP and I've downloaded some Hi-res stuff, Tidal currently has the largest catalog of good to better resolution music out there. When I want to hear new groups in particular, it would be great to have. I doubt the fees from Sony to Tidal are the big issue, as Tidal would still charge the end user for the service. My guess is that is has something to do between Sony Music and Tidal. I don't want to get another streamer, ultimately if I need to to get Tidal there is a good chance I would sell my HAP Z1, and use whatever new solution is out there that I choose. My files all got ripped to my laptop, so it's not a huge deal.

Tidal... why no Tidal? Great player, in all seriousness has anyone every been able to contact someone at Sony with a clue? A few years at Axpona there was someone from Sony there and I keep kicking myself for not chasing them down. I don't want to sell off this player as it's so damn good for the money, but man I want to be able to stream Tidal.

Need some help - My HAP Z1-ES has suddenly decided it does not want to connect to the gracenote server (errror 34000) when I go to "get music info". Simply stopped working. Anyone else? Any help would be great. Thanks

That would work I suspect. I use I tunes, wonder if I can create a second folder for that though? (I just use ALAC across the board).

Looking for a bit of help if anyone can provide it. I've lot the transferred files log on my computer as my hard drive crashed (not on the HAP Z1, rather my laptop). Now when I go to transfer files it's attempting to re-transfer all 7000 titles. I know I could reset my HAPZ1 harddrive and just start over, but is there a way to re-create the transferred files log? Or, simply avoid transferring all files? It's looking for new files, and without the log it appears that it simply wants to move everything again. Thanks.
