    I don't know about streaming DSD to your DAC but I use Deadbeef & Audacious music players as these can be set to bypass pulseaudio & output direct via ALSA to the hardware.

    Does Jriver support upnp? If not, would it not be easier to install a upnp server like Serviio or similar and stream to Bubble upnp on your android phone. Works great for me, I would advise purchasing the app as it's brilliant.

    Not with mediatomb. I run Linux Mint too and use Serviio to stream to my Pioneer N50 controlled with Bubble UPNP on my nexus 7 tablet.

    Don't know about the Mac but that's easily done on Linux with easytag or puddletag.
