  1. Further, the solution I need is one which would allow me to boot the mac mini remotely. I hear good things about JRiver but cannot confirm if one must already be logged on to the mini before accessing it remotely. Most other options such as Splashtop appear less than ideal since it appears one must be first logged on to the mini and then have Splashtop server running. I assume that would be true for most VNC type software. Someone out there must have an easy answer for me!
  2. Hi guys New user here. Also a first time mac user. I recently connected a mac mini to use as a music server with my "audiophile" system. My question. Currently, I am controlling the server with wireless keyboard, mouse, and a big, unweildy, ugly monitor. I would like to do away with the keyboard, mouse, and display completely to make the system more aesthetic in the room surroundings. What is the best way to accomplish this? I have an ipad and iphone, if those can be used. Would I need something like an Apple airplay or Android type of device? Most of my "computer music" is in flac format, so Im unsure if the airplay works. Also, I don't want the system connected to an hdtv so I need a solution that will allow me to completely log on to the mini without the use of external keyboard of monitor. Suggestions, please!
