Hi nrthshrengr 1. I recently bought a matrix mini-i DAC (US 350). I am very happy with it and IMHO is the best you can buy in a range of US 300-600. 2 and 3. Instead of an amplifier I would recommend you to buy a pair of active speakers or monitors. a. Behringer B2031A (US 350) b. Audioengine A5 (US 350) c. M-Audio BX5a (US 450) d. Genelec 8030a (US 1300) e. AVI ADM 9.1. With these, you do not need to buy a seperate DAC. (US 2000 Aprox)
