I am having simmilat issue as Kenny - roon loosing connection to aries roonspeaker. This can happen reproducibly for example when i put mac with roon to sleep and after wake roon can not find aries zone any more (but still can connect to airplay on aries). Restarting roon, aries or sometimes even both will solve this issue. The same happens intermittently even during normal playback , so it is not just the mac sleep which triggers this bug..

LDS beta for IPhone does contain Artist radio and it is working fine

SQ-wise RoonSpeaker is better (less harsh treble) than Airplay

with 3.0 Roon is working via RoonSpeakers to Aries flawlessly

DS DAC accepts PCM or DSD (DoP) on its digital inputs. If you are using Ethernet bridge then it accepts most formats like wav, aiff, MP3, flac etc

im not sure where to report issues from beta LDS for iphone so I'm posting here.. it seems search function is not implemented (tapping the loupe icon does nothing) beside this it works like a charm, what a relief - no need to fetch iPad to adjust playlist anymore, just grab the phone

@jimmy I've got just email confirmation they've received my request to participate. My understanding is that one have to install apple's TestFlight app which will then send you notification once there is something new to test for you (like anticipated Lightning DS for iphone)

my guess would be the content. Spotify seems to have more of my favorite authors discography and also new releases are available on Spotify sooner. Though even with 320kbps it's still lossy thus I have to use both Spotify and Tidal subscriptions.. Room integrated Spotify would be much appreciated also by me.

@Mike I had similar feeling about high frequency content being "missing" with JB and was also thinking where are those microdetails.. One of my self-explanations would be that the noise/jitter could make the quiet microdetails bit louder for price of SQ of course. Maybe I'm just fooling myself to not regret the JB buying BUT in general I like it with JB more (bass,fluidness/no harshness). My digital setup: Auralic Aries - JB - JPlay USB refference cable - PS Audio DS DAC. With JB Aries's SQ is closer to PS Audio's DS DAC own Bridge (ethernet->i2s module) which is the reference for me.

i've just ordered Regen for my Aries (connected to PSAudio DS). It would be most probably the amber version to my understanding.. - how much worse it is with Aries than original green version of Regen? I'm bit nervous as i've found this only now..

Looking forward for the iphone version - it can be practical when iPad is occupied by the kids

I can report that Aries 2.6 firmware is working with PS Audio Direct Stream . However I had to reboot the DS DAC as it's USB receiver was apparently stuck (shown signal lock even when the USB cable was disconnected). After DAC reboot Aries recognised DAC nearly instantaneously. For folks with USB troubles my suggestion would be to try power-cycle the DAC and possibly also Aries. In worst case try to reboot with usb cable completely disconnected, and plug them only once both fully booted.

Hello fellow Aries owners is it only me who is missing features in Lightning DS implementation of Tidal? Some examples od what i'm missing: - Recent releases of followed artists - Search for similar artists/music - Displayed Artist / Album names on many places are not clickable hyperlinks which would make life much easier than manually typing that stuff into the search field I'm not sure if tidal's api would allow it but don't see any reason why not.. Are there any rumors about DS2 regarding possible improvement of streaming features? kind of road-map even maybe?
