I have just downloaded the deluxe PG from HiResAudio. Hmm. For an exercise Mr Page has devoted a lot of his time to completing I am perplexed. How can such a visceral band sound so anaemic? I had really high hopes for this release but am left disappointed. In a straight comparison the Mothership collection has more immediate presence and low energy. I also have a download of the original LP which sounds poor.
