  1. Thanks to Jesus and Andrew (to whom Jesus referred me to), the issue regarding the apps has been fixed. Thank you all.
  2. I got mine brand new and never used mysqueezebox.com on it, that's why I think it's a problem. Thanks
  3. Perhaps I should clarify a little. What I tried to do is, with the Android Squeezebox app, I go into the app gallery and try to install any of the apps listed there. In theory, the installed apps should appear on my installed app section (on both web UI and the android app UI). However, when I go into my apps, it says something like, "This player is registered to another user" and I can't access that app. And yes, I have LMS. It's running on a QNAP NAS and plays music fine. Thanks.
  4. I suppose you are replying to my issue regarding app installation? If so, that doesn't sound too good (although the SMS-100 does sound nice). Thanks.
  5. Hi all! I recently tried to install squeezebox apps with my SMS-100 running squeezelite, only to find that it is not doable where is says something like this player is registered to another user or something like that. I googled that up and found that it has something to do with the mac address of the player. I checked the mac address of Squeezelite and is different from that of the SMS-100 itself (checking both from the web UI). Does it need to be the same? Is this something fixable? Anyone tried those apps (spotify, etc) with your SMS-100? Thanks.
  6. Ok. I tried buffer values copied from that page and from 20000 to as high as 200000, and 192/24 still stutters. It stutters less but still does. What can I do? Interesting thing is that it doesn't have these problems with the ifi ddc. It's only with the esoteric which it recognizes and plays normal lossless ok. Thanks.
  7. Yup. Just tried. Restarting squeezelite seems to do it just fine. Thanks. Unfortunately, it also seems that the driver doesn't quite work work the esoteric in high res. It plays, but there were stutters amd glitches. Haven't played with buffer yet. Will try. Back to using the ddc for now.
  8. Yes, that's exactly why I would like to experiment with usb direct. However, I do need to get around the unlocking upon cycling out issue for it to be a viable everyday solution.
  9. I got a SOTM SMS100 and have been using it with a iFi DDC. After some experimenting, I found that the SOTM works directly into the TE8022 of my Esoteric K-03, too. However, since my Esoteric is an SACD player, I do cycle out of USB mode and into CD mode now and then. When I go back into USB mode, the SOTM is no longer locked, and requires a restart to have everything running again. This is sort of expected as it is what happens when using a PC (need to reselect output on Foobar). I am just wondering if there is any workaround to keep it locked? Thanks.
  10. Hi, all! I just joined the SotM bandwagon and replaced my SBT with a SMS-100, together with an LPS that I got someone to build for me. Running squeezelite and without run-in, I can already hear quite an improvement in sound as compared with the SBT (both using iFi iPower, iPurifier and iLink into an Esoteric K-03 down the chain). I have yet to try if it works with the TE USB receiver of the Esoteric. The sound is quieter, clearer, deeper, wider... all the stuff you get as if you have upgraded a CD player or something. One question. I see that there is a buffer setting in Squeezelite (now in auto). What is it for and what am I supposed to do with it? Does it alter sound or behaviour? Thanks.
