  1. Yeah I just found Audacity a couple of hours ago. Have been fiddling with it an hour or so, to figure out how to export to other channels. Now I got it to work! So happy, I've been looking for a solution for ages 😆 I think its super weird it's so hard to find information on this topic. Seems like I'm the only one in the world with the need for confirming that my surround filters actually work as they are supposed to 😃
  2. Hey Sonnie. Thanks for your reply. When going to the signal generator and save to file mode, you can only select left, right or both front channels. There's no option for center, or surround channels. Have you done this yourself with surround channels?
  3. In order to sweep my surround channels I have to use Asio4all. But when I do this, my convolution filters are not applied to the sweep in REW. So how do confirm that your filters work how they should? I've searched this topic for years without finding a solution.
  4. Will there be Unison in the new Dirac Live for Windows? Or is it two different products you are mentioning?
  5. The miniDSP would be a good idea for timealigning the subs, since Dirac cannot fix group delay in two different speakers playing the same frequency.
  6. Hey kafy. I can now confirm there is no audible difference whether I use the standard umik 90 degree calibration file vs the cross spectrum one. In REW I can measure under 1db difference in bass region and about the same in the high treble >10khz. Between 100hz-10khz they look pretty identical.
  7. I have both the XTZ and a CrossSpektrum Umik. I think the Dirac filters from the Cs Umik sounds a little better, than with the XTZ. But it's not a huge difference. Both does a great job?
  8. How can I get REW sweeps through the DAP? Have been googling and googling, but no luck. It works when REW output in Java. But then I can't sweep anything else than L+R. With ASIO output I can choose center and surrounds, but I get no sweep sounds when I route ASIO to the DAP :-/
  9. The minidsp has arrived. Right now its setup for 350Hz lowpass @ 48db LR, for the bass. And the Accuton midrange is crossed at 300Hz, don't remember the slope but think I chose 24db BW. And it's lowpass at 2800Hz @36db BW. And the treple unit is crossed at 3000Hz @ 48db LR. This "weird" combination of xo points/type and slopes, gives a near perfect measured frequency response around the xo points, even without any EQ or Dirac they sound pretty good. For some reason I can't cross the bass/mid at lower frequencies without getting a huge dip around the XO. But I'm very pleased with the upgrade. The midrange is more open and forward, there's more punch in the low mid/bass. More control in the bass at high spl. And the treple is more gentle to the ear, I guess because of lower distortion maybe.
  10. Now I have bought the extra amplifier. A Rotel rmb-1565 5x100W class D. It will drive the tweeters and mid's. And my rb-1572 2x250w will drive the bass units. Now I'm just waiting for my minidsp 10x10, to show up.
  11. When will the free download update from Dirac live to unison be available on your website? ?
  12. A lot of those improvements you mention, is also what I have experienced with Dirac, so how will you describe the difference between the two?
  13. Just to be sure, with "crossovering parameters" you mean, crossover points and slope and nothing more?
  14. Thank you Flavio. I'll explore the 4x10, which gives me the opportunity to time align two subwoofer groups besides my 3 way project. But as I see it, it should be pretty easy to setup. When I'm using Dirac, I can skip step 3 in the guide you linked, right?
