  1. That does appear to be the excessive file path issue for Windows, too much metadata. You can solve that by updating the sacd_extract.exe file to the latest EuFlo enhanced version here (scroll to the very bottom to reveal the assets).
  2. Well done, and for those who are uncomfortable with use of the command line, there is a GUI that allows for point and click, but it requires installation of the Java Runtime Environment as a prerequisite. SACDExtractGUI can be found here: https://github.com/setmind/SACDExtractGUI/releases/tag/v0.1
  3. Hopefully you haven't updated to macOs to 14.4, right now there is an unknown incompatibility with macOS 14.4 initially thought to be a Java issue, however even rips commenced from the CLI fail so it looks like some sort of new Apple permissions thing with use of unsigned apps.
  4. That only applies to Sony brand Blu-ray players, all others use the regular open/close button to close the disc tray, only Sonys use the OFF button. That suggests to me that it is not actually a Scarlet Book SACD you are trying to rip, or the disc is physically damaged and the Table Of Contents cannot be read. Both are tested and known working, though with the 751BD the early firmware version that preserves SACD-R playback is not compatible with this ripping process, you'd need to update the player's firmware to make that unit compatible if it has the SACD-R compatible version and in so doing, you'd lose the ability to play SACD-R in gaining the ability to rip SACD. Other details of that firmware difference are not known to me, you'd have to check the firmware revision history (if that still exists) with Cambridge Audio. The only other requirement with Oppo/Cambridge players is that both the Auto-play and Auto-resume settings need to be defeated as they interfere with the ripping process (the player can't be trying to auto-do anything with the disc).
  5. You've missed the entire point that there has been no information shared, nothing of substance, and nothing but incessant delays and kicking the can down the road for literally years. In that sense, you aren't now missing out on anything, are you?
  6. Yes absolutely, but that doesn't change what I stated. I'll add that I have direct correspondence with Qobuz dated August 2021, in which they stated the exact same thing with regard to the status of Qobuz Connect. Yup, that is a long time.
  7. I agree, and the same was true of the never finished/working DLNA/UPnP feature, which still sits there in the UI despite being non-functional.
  8. That's too bad, and essentially the same answer as Qobuz have been giving for well over 1 year now. When a customer asks a question, that is not pressure and criticism. Wondering how we go from WiiM to Denon/Marantz announced as the first integration partner to roll out Qobuz Connect over literally one year's time is not unwarranted.
  9. Now 90 days later and still no Qobuz Connect. Although in your above quoted post you mentioned Denon/Marantz as the integration partner you were working most closely with, last year at this time in a Qobuz livestream it was said that WiiM would be the first to offer Qobuz Connect. But around a month or so ago WiiM removed Qobuz Connect from their product road map entirely. What the heck is going on? With TIDAL fast dropping MQA, and with that their monthly subscription rate, Qobuz stands to lose customers. Finishing the Connect feature is very important in terms of competing in the marketplace, but years go by with nothing. With such strong aversion to DLNA/UPnP, why don't you remove that non/never working feature from the UI?
  10. I'm pretty sure too. Some perhaps, but not all. Most of us just find issue with the trade press' steadfast denial that there was ever anything wrong with MQA, either as a business model designed to enact license "toll" fees thus raising costs to consumers, or the fact that the publications have to this day ignored the technical facts surrounding MQA's supposed sonic efficacy and in so doing, tried very hard to simply deflect and shift the discussion to one of online incivility, online anonymity, and other things meaningless to the real issues at hand. Yes but it is clear the role you are describing in terms of serving the readers is at this point secondary to the role in serving the advertisers. That is precisely where the trade press gushing over MQA doesn't smell good at all. I am in that camp, and I don't begrudge or ridicule anyone who does like expensive cables or vibration control. I bet it was civil and I also think most of the discourse here has been too, even though not face to face. It is unfair and inaccurate for the trade press, the MQA cadre, or it's devoted fan boys to have portrayed otherwise, a pathetic attempt at changing the narrative.
  11. Absolutely no question this was the case, very easy to see, in fact it would have been difficult to miss that this was happening. A few of those writers were pretty much wearing it on their sleeve so to speak. That behavior was evident at a glance, multiple mentions of MQA in every review.
  12. Correct, TIDAL have never officially said they are dropping MQA, though they have said they will prioritize hi-res FLAC over MQA as the file served. To a large extent this will then depend on what the record label for any particular album title has supplied them.
  13. Certainly not better than lossless™, there hi-res FLAC will surely fall short. 🤔 🤪🤢🤮
  14. At various points in this thread it has been said that if you are tired of this topic, then please just ignore it. Demanding that the thread be closed before we can actually stick a fork in MQA is strange, if you don't care about the topic anymore then just move on from the thread instead of plead to have it closed. If the recent TIDAL price tier change is what it appears to be, then we can most likely stick a fork in MQA sooner than later, unless of course Jbara/Lenbrook actually found a new dance partner at CES.
  15. That certainly appears to be TIDAL's farewell to MQA.
