  1. Just curious what you all think a used 3 USB Schiit Gumby is worth now that USB Gen 5 is out and brand new units include USB Gen 5 for same price as previously new units?
  2. Messaged again - will send payment with 2.9% additional for PayPal coverage. Before I do, I want to be 100% sure it's still available. Let me know - Thanks
  3. Anyone know if Singxer is planning to release a successor to the SU-1 soon?? I had heard in a passing thread/post here or on Head-Fi that a new version was in the works..
  4. So if I use Windows 7 64-bit and manually running the program at system start is acceptable, Plus will suffice, correct? What else would Pro get me? I'm basically running foobar2000 with an external DAC ( Modi 2 ) on a work PC, so I can't shut down a whole lot of potentially necessary background processes. Would I still benefit from Plus?
  5. Anyone compared these? I will be using HD-600s and a Gustard H10 amp. Portability isn't highest priority for now so truly SQ comparison - Redbook/PCM only for now. And does the iFi run off a wal-wart for a desktop setup?
  6. Thanks for taking the time to provide the detail! Really appreciate it! Do both units run off USB power while in use on your desktop? I am likely needing a desktop solution and find the potential battery power source for the iFi devices a bother vs. wall plug-in for other potential DACs.
  7. Yes - appreciate the comparison as I am on the fence in buying the Micro or Nano.
  8. Great, thanks bplexico! What about using an SDXC card (mine is on the PCIe bus of my laptop) to play music from vs. the external hard drive? The external HDD would then serve as backup only. Thoughts?
  9. So I'm REALLY new to this computer audiophile thing. I work from home and would like to play my 200 or so CD collection at will in the best format possible. Before I head down the road of DACs, etc, I'd like to transfer/rip the CDs to an external hard drive connected to my Apple Airport Extreme router so I can access from any PC/Mac in the house. I'm thinking 1-1.5TB for not only this but system backups, etc. Which drive should I go with? From what I've read in the last 30 minutes, a simple external hard drive is what I should be looking for? I guess my budget is no more than $150.
